Crazy idea

I know it’s lunacy to consider but are there any WRs on our team that can play both sides of the ball and improve us at any of the DB positions? Grasping at straws, I know.

There are probably a couple that could do it.

But you can’t just take a WR who hasn’t practiced defense all year and throw them in at CB.

It’s not as simple as “hey go cover that guy”.

If there were one or two who could and were willing to move from WR to CB, it’s AT LEAST 3-4 weeks before they are actually ready to be on the field.


And before anyone says, “well it can’t be worse than what’s already out there”. Yes it actually can be.

That’s what they usually do with receivers who can’t catch so…

I don't know if we do but I can definitively say this:

It is much easier for a DB to convert to WR and have success than the other way around in terms of assignment, etc.
