That’s not optimal. I guess they’re being extra careful after Walker last year.

Seems like we’ve had a lot of “sore arm” problems this year between Storz, Labas, and now MaKhail.

I’m fine with it. Gotta go all out to steal the regional, throw Bush out there game 1

Storz was hurt when he started here

Probably most Hillard has thrown in his life so not surprised he's kind of wearing down

I wonder what Oregon St's plans are...cant imagine them throwing Fehmel or Heimlech game 1 against NW ST. But if they face us game 2, do they save Heimlech for game 3 considering how well Fehmel did against us last season?

I would imagine the thinking is that Bush and Sanders hopefully get you game 1, then goto Hess game 2.

Agreed. We need to get him on the weights and 10,000 calorie diet this summer. It would be a huge win even if we could just get him up to 180. Let his body do more of the work than his arm.

I’m curious where Labas fits in this regional or are we shutting him down for the year?

I think that's the million dollar question right now. Been pretty silent on that front lately.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see him shut down for the year unless we make a run to the CWS. Even then just depends on how his arm is doing. If it’s sore, no way we pitch him.

With the emergence of Sanders and Peterson, having a 3rd starter for regional/supers becomes much less important.

Storz was hurt when he came to LSU, it's why his draft stock plummeted. It's probably an injury they thought they could get through without surgery at time.

Labas is same way. It went from back to now arm from when he got here. I bet he ends up with something.

It's all the tournament ball they play growing up before they get to college.

If he's holding Hilliard to game 3, then something is wrong with Hilliard.

I hate to say it. But, my spidey sense is going off.

As much as I live college baseball I really wish they would give them an extra week between conference tourneys and the NCAA run.

I would much rather shut Hillard down than end up in with the same situation as Walker.

He says he wants Hillard to have full rest

Hillard last pitched on Weds, so full rest would be this weds, yet we wont even pitch him on Saturday?

Something seems not right here fellas

I'd say that's optimistic.

Hilliard would be on 10 days rest by then. This isn't a "rest" issue. This is a soreness issue...or worse, his last throwing session resulted in a significant drop in velocity or lack of movement.

I'd say that's highly optimistic.

That would be a ballsy.... maneuver.
