He would never and you should be ashamed of yourself for suggesting it. A man of CPMs class and integrity would never, EVER throw a kid under the bus.

He took all the blame for the loss and didn’t throw anybody under the bus. The Rant is making this up.

They come to LSU because we are LSU. Not because of Paul.

I don’t think he threw him under the bus, plus Walker took responsibility

LINK

quote:

I thought I was on track for a good outing, but I made too many mistakes,” Walker said. “That’s baseball. You’ve got to be consistent and you’ve got to make pitches. I feel like this week I didn’t make pitches, and they made me pay for it. So I’ve got to be better.”

quote:

It wasn’t our night tonight,” LSU coach Paul Mainieri said. “When you analyze the game, it came down to a few pitches and a few plays … The difference between winning and losing in this league is so small.”

quote:

He just didn’t have his command,” Mainieri added. “The 0-2 pitch was a big mistake. He was supposed to throw it up over the strike zone to see if the kid would chase it, but he threw it thigh high.”

from what I can find so far, here were comments made after the game:

Walker
quote:

"My changeup was nowhere to be found," Walker said. "My fastball was pretty good at the start, and it deteriorated as the game went along."

“You gotta make pitches, and I feel like this week I didn’t make pitches,” Walker said. “So they made me pay for it, and I gotta be better.”

Mainieri
quote:

"He mixed his pitches well," coach Paul Mainieri said. "He threw a lot of strikes. We just didn't hit him."

“We had a couple of situations where if we would have done something strong we would have been right in the game and it would have been a different game," Mainieri said. "The difference between winning and losing in this game is just so small. It comes down to a couple of at-bats, a couple of pitches, a couple of plays.

“Tonight, Ole Miss did it and we didn’t.”

"I think it means an awful lot," Mainieri said. "The winner of this series probably has an inside track on hosting a regional. This game is a really, really important ball game tomorrow."

all seems pretty benign to me

He said on the 0-2 pitch that was hit for a three-run homerun Dunn called for an out of the zone high pitch to see if the hitter would chase it.

Instead Walker threw a thigh high pitch over the plate.

He also said the pitch out called when the runner was on first base and was attempting to steal was not thrown properly which caused Mathis to reach back towards the plate and resulted in catcher’s interference.

Direct quotes have been posted

Walker did fail to execute, he actually took responsibility which has been linked & quoted

He stated the truth & Walker took responsibility

Pay better attention. Paul does this often. He’s an a-hole and his players hate him. He needs to go.
you fricking dumbass

Yeah this explains why he always has great players come in... It’s because “players hate him.” Gtfo Don...

Edit: Don I know you think you know it all, but our players love Paul. He might make mistakes here or there like all coaches do, but the players love him. I know Chris and Antoine personally and he is loved. It’s the dumbass fans like you that put out this false narrative. So stop posting and go get some tampons.

Throwing another under the bus, very much like Mainieri.

You aren’t kidding, if they think Paul throws players under the bus then they would have hated Skip

This^

Skip would challenge athletes and they tended to respond.

The thing is that we couldn’t hit $hiit tonight. Walker didn’t lose the game. The whole team did.
I've never seen a team hit so many weak choppers, even their foul balls. They're always hitting the top of the ball. Either that, or it's a pop up. Very few squarely hit balls.

Get a hitting coach.

If you think players come to LSU JUST because of the name then you are out of your element donnie.... There’s a reason our program shifted when Smoke came in man... Players get RECRUITED by the coach 90% of the time. Josh Smith and Bregman are the 10% of the example who came to LSU because they loved the school beforehand.
