people can take one quote and turn it around. He also said our hitting sucked pretty much. But let's only use this one quote as to why Paul said we lost.
Can you comprehend what is meant when people say that this is a direct quote? This isn't something that's been turned around. The video of the exchange has been linked here. There's no gotcha question attached to it. There's no twisting of words, no turning around of quotes.
It's what he said. Plain as day. He has grown up, played, coached and spent his entire life around a team sport being played at an advanced level. There is no dimension in this realm where personally blaming one player or a single play for a loss is advisable, kosher, okay, etc.
Baseball, basketball, cricket, quidditch, foot golf, kickball, whatever. One play or one player in a team sport does not make or break a game. Mainly because there are other players and another team playing against them, and there are other members of their team playing alongside them.
Your defense of Pauline is as ridiculous as your takes are. Have a great Sunday giving him an unmitigated-if sloppy-verbal blowjob here on the Rant. Tard.

a few things going on here:
-Paul is awful at something he demands from his players, owning a mistake.
-I agree with what Paul said, but is not one single reason for it to said anywhere except the locker room.
I could go on, but it will not fix anything.

Yes there are other factors that contributed to the loss. But he's right, it's time to start calling out the small defensive miscues that are killing us.

He's not right. one play in a baseball game does not win or lose the game. Could blame the loss on multiple things.

He's a dip shite. CPM that is. He's an average game coach at best.

Your thoughts on the ridiculous decision to hit-and-run with a one-legged Jordan brother last night? Or needlessly being over aggressive with H/R in the 1st after the lead off man got aboard?
Or the fact that LSU had four different shots at getting the tying run home in the latter innings to tie the game up and go to extras and simply didn't get the job done at the plate?
You can point to a dozen different small parts of the game that impacted the final outcome. But that's the whole point. There is no one single thing that turned this into a L in the column on our schedule.
Deichmann is no more responsible for the loss as Lange is responsible as Pauline is as Kramer Robertson is as Jordan is as Duplantis is. All of them had critical issues on the base paths, on the mound, at the plate or on the field that impacted the game along with Deichmann.
In any professional organization it's considered a best-practices mantra to adhere to a policy of public praise and private criticism. You criticize one-on-one, or in this case, you criticize in house, away from the mics or when the cameras aren't rolling.
Say what you want to say or act how you want to act when you're in a situation where the kids aren't in the glare of the spotlight. Period. Don't do that shite in public. It's a bad look for the coach and for the program.

Deichman didn't bat for everyone.
That loss was a team effort.

It is one thing to discuss something like this privately but to publicly blame one player and one play for a loss in a team game...inexcusable. CPM is a whiny little bitch. It's never him or his in-game decisions.

I'm saying y'all are using one quote from everything he said. That is turning it into that he said this is the only reason why we loss.

If you look at it that way... Kramer and Cole need to be benched as well. All 3 have 6 errors! Tied for the most on the team!
Posted on 4/24/16 at 10:55 am to TigerBait55
I thought Lange pitched a brilliant game. That last frame was beast mode.

Cole and Kramer play middle infield. And Deichmann has 7 errors now. If you read my post, you would know that I said "as a first baseman". Leading the team from that position is terrible.
Posted on 4/24/16 at 11:02 am to ell_13
Not trying to defend Deichmann's defensive abilities but does that number include the errors he had at third? I recall at least 2-3 of those
Posted on 4/24/16 at 11:04 am to TigerBait55
i dont have a huge problem with what he said. Deichmann has been horrible in the field, and i think he is just trying to hold him accountable. Deichmann knows he needs to be better, so its not like PM made some huge revelation. Im sure he said worse to him to his face
Posted on 4/24/16 at 11:05 am to Lester Earl
I'm an admitted PM apologist and I'm ok with publicly giving a player a little nudge, but this was bad form and is a bad look.

Yes. A couple are at 3B. But most are at 1B.
And a counter argument to that would be that multiple other players have more starts at 3B than him and none of them have more errors. A good indicator is to look at the Assist to Error ratio. Put outs at 1B and C make their Fld% skewed in comparison to other positions.
Deichmann has 23 assists and 7 errors.
Kramer - 73 to 6
Cole - 95 to 6
Reid - 28 to 4

Maybe Mainieri needs to start recruiting true 1st baseman.
