"How does having two decent teams, Oklahomo and Missouri, elevate an entire conference to supremacy????"

Two decent teams... really?

but, seriously, the SEC is lacking in the QB department and the Big12 is enjoying a nice stable of QBs right now.

Bradford
Daniel
Reesing
McCoy
Harrell
Freeman

even the NU QB and CU's Hawkins

You could argue that all of these guys are better/more experienced than SEC starting QBs outside of Florida and Georgia.

Our defenses are way better, though.

Bradford, Daniel, and Reesing are fantastic college QBs and definitely the big 12 has the overall edge when it comes to starters at that position this year

I do however have to be impressed with the little we've seen of Sneed as well as Tebow and Stafford this year

reesing? colt mccoy? come on now seriously...bradford and staford are about what and what and id take tebow over daniels anyday...the rest of the qbs in the big 12 are garbage they just put up good stats because they run the spread offense and play again bad defenses

Your right CS4Heisman... Daniels is terrible and only puts up stats against bad defenses.

On second thought, didn't he pass for like 400 yards in the Cotton Bowl last year against Arkansas? The same Arkansas team that beat LSU.

Yeah, Chase Daniels sucks.

never said daniels was a terrible qb...hes decent at best i just said i would take tim tebow who by the way won this thing called the heisman trophy over him...by no means does arkansas beating lsu last year mean they were good...lsu got outplayed by an inferior opponent..it happens sometimes

Cowherd does this every year. After a couple of weeks, he claims the SEC is overrated. By the end of the year he says, "Well maybe they are the best, but NEXT year they won't be."

And the cycle continues.

Now that statement destroys any credibility you may have had. LSU doesn't avoid anybody. Now go back to your Grove and have a Pims Cup.

Exactly, I hated him the first couple of weeks I listened to his show, now I can't imagine having him taken off the air. He is one of the most entertaining people in the history of ESPN.

watching the monday night game last night should give the country a decent idea of what SEC teams face every week. Felix Jones (yes, Arkansas' backup) just lit up the scene with a 95 yard return. It was obvious that he was the fastest man on the field at the time. This is true for DB's LB's WR's and most other positions. Did Cowherd fail to evaluate other positions?

If you are knocking Reesing, then you are beyond help. That KU-USF game last Friday was a game of two very good, gritty college QBs.

The obsession y'all have with USC is really kind of funny.
I don't mean this as a flame, really I don't, but I think your obsession comes from the knowledge that your two supposed national championships are both tainted and that, had you had to play USC in either year, you would most likely have lost to them.
2003 is a no-brainer. USC was hands-down the best team in the country and was ranked #1 in both polls at the end of the season, but you avoided them because of BCS formula hooey.
Last year, they were playing better than just about anybody at the end of the season, certainly better than Ohio State.....and you backed into the championship game despite having 2 losses and 2 more near-losses by leapfrogging other teams with only one loss.....because biased poll voters decided that playing in the SEC automatically made your schedule harder than anybody else's.

Of course, the tainted nature of your championships and the fact that USC has gotten screwed by the system (in addition to having had better teams) is why the media has given them more respect than it has given LSU.

I did not say this.

Yet we're not going to SC's board to rant about it....

The screwing SHOULD come from the NCAA.....but it won't. Now go lose to UCLA or Zona and STFU.
