I love this idea that diagnosing a problem is "standing up for the right thing". Especially when the prescription offered is a guaranteed loser for the patient.

Let's see:
Racial resentment? Check.
Racial division? Check
Ingratitude to one's employer and customers ? Check.
Creating cultural disharmony ? Check.
Demonizing American Institutions? Check.
Giving really bad advice on life ? Check.

My point is that if Americans actually follow the failed Progressive tripe that Reid peddles they are likely to find themselves LESS happy, LESS successful and further away from their original goal. He is a MORAL IDIOT posing as a wise man. He is harming people. Especially black people who believe that anything good can come from Progressive Identity Politics and racial schism.

The recipe for success in America remains the same as it ever was; Tolerance and goodwill for others, obeying the Rule Of Law, working really hard, educating oneself and most importantly, making sure that your FAMILY is rock solid. That's it. Not embracing the politics of Victimization and viewing life as something that happens to you. He's preaching victimization and that's the path to despair.

I've had quite a few speeding tickets in my life and I don't seem to recall a cop ever really being an a-hole to me

With how obsessed some people are about people peacefully protesting I'm wondering who is really happy here.

I got out of the car when two cops stopped me on Acadian Thruway years ago. They grabbed me by the neck and threw me on the hood of my car. It happens sometimes but this constant victim mentality gets old.

Tell us what current law differentiates the treatment of blacks from whites other than affirmative action laws. We all await your evidence with bated breath...

That has always been the case from the first time an African American demanded equality. For believing that his people should be treated no differently than white folks. Just like here, they are castigated and demonized.

I wonder if it's perhaps because people reject your premise, and Reid's, that examples such as Alton Sterling and Mike Brown are indicative of systematic racism against blacks. Perhaps YOUR bias prevents you from recognizing justification of police action in those cases, or at minimum, the acknowledgment that they weren't shot because they were black nor were the officers given a pass on account of their race. You're guilty of the exact same bias block that you are falsely attributing to others. And there lies the great irony.

That's not true, you may not agree with his principles or beliefs, but the guy is still a better QB than a lot of second tier QB's earning a paycheck in the league.

I mean I could use his last year with SF as an example when Blaine Gabbert was there. Gabbert supposedly won the starting job there when he came over from Jacksonville, and was the starter, but still played ineffectively, Kaepernick replaced him and looked much better than he ever did while still not 100% healthy. SF as team played much better with him in there, he isn't a solid throwing type of QB, but he is a capable QB that can make plays when needed and would do just that for another team.

His principles are Progressive Race Fundamentalism; Black Racial Grievance, Black Cultural Separatism, historical ignorance, lazy and ill-informed anti- Americanism, anti- patriotism, over the top denigration of law enforcement and the military, peddling catastrophic External Locus Of Control psychology to blacks, and on and on....

He’s basically a really fit and handsome Gravy Chambers. The more philosophically aligned any American is to Eric Reid, the more likely they are to lead a life of failure and personal chaos. He’s financially insulated from the garbage he peddles. He’s privileged.

Eric Reid represents Race grievance, race hatred, Identity Politics, repudiation of American principles, ideals, traditions and institutions etc. The opposite of what actually succeeds for America which is promoting The Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, personal responsibility, equal protection under the law, personal gratitude, FAMILY, hard work, education etc.

Downvote like your life depends on it, but Eric Reid is a colossal moral idiot.

And thank you for weighing in David Duke.

I can only feel pity for somebody who reads what I wrote arguing for racial and societal cohesion and responds with knee jerk Leftist race insult. That’s middle schooler stuff .

They may be too stupid, or Eric Reid smart, too understand it.

we're upset about WHERE and HOW they're protesting.

If they were doing it on their own time, nobody would say a word. But they're doing it at an apolitical entertainment event, while wearing the uniform of their employer, and during the national anthem of the country that provides more freedom, prosperity, and opportunity than any country in history.

There's a proper time and place for protest, my man. And during the national anthem at an NFL game ain't it.

This is one of the stupidest things I've read since the last "Who am I to judge" comment. You are you, that's who. It is natural and laudable to judge other people.

Reid is free to take a stance. You and I are free to criticize him. The latter is no more to be deplored than the former.

Saying "Who am I to criticize him" is similar to saying, "Who is Reid to take that stance." Both are foolish.

Hence why I have not criticized them . Eric’s parents moved to the predominantly white suburbs as fast as they could because they wanted the best for their kids. I have only criticized Eric’s vapid and destructive endorsement of Racial Identity Politics. Adopting that angry BLM bullshite as your life creed is a guarantee that you will never reach your potential . But Eric has his so ...

No he’s not.
Did you read the article?
It’s hard for ignorant, redneck racists to understand but blacks and folks of color are treated differently. Pro players make a lot of coin but many of them and their parents grew up in a system that promotes and fosters poverty and injustice.

That systematic racism still exists and is being encouraged under this incompetent, immoral president.
