DE with Levingston/Aghayere. They need some depth/help there

Alem
Levingston
Aghayere

Edwards?
Hicks?
Brockers
Montgomery
Logan

Depth is fine. Not much experience, but Corely couldn't have helped in that department either.

Not to be insensitive or anything, but what does that do to the DL depth?

Doesn't put a dent in the 2 deep IMO. He just got moved from DE to DT in the spring and he was not ready to play looking at the spring game. He would of been behind Alexander, Woods, Nevis and Hicks at least IMO.

Not only that but we have Davenport and Downs coming in as freshman to fill in behind seniors Alexander and Woods, juniors Nevis and Hicks, redshirt freshman Edwards and Hagans.

We will really need to take 2 DT's in the 2011 class. but as long as everyone devolops we should be in good shape. Even if we don't sign a DT for 2010 we will have 6 for 2010 but will be down to 4 in 2011 plus any we sign in that class.

This makes me appreciate Matt Flynn all the more. The guy stuck it out through four years playing only sparingly. But it certainly paid off for LSU and him in year five.

I think Edwards has versatility to play SDE but we won't need him there. I think hes over 300lbs already and hes straight up HUGE. I've heard Hicks is another guy that absolutely looks ripped and shows very little fat on his huge frame.

same with Josh Downs. saw him at work a month ago and he was in really good shape. I think he may be the 3rd or 4th biggest impact of the last recruiting class. just a beast

Seriously...my guess is Phelon helped pull him out of Baton Rouge.

ETA: I forgot about his mom being murdered. Might be going to USA??

I thought Corley was from texas?

He was pretty highly recruited...I remember Urban Meyer recruited him to UF pretty hard as I recall

Baton Rouge >>>Mobile = 199 miles

Tuscaloser>>>>Mobile = 225 miles

No way I give the kid a release to Alabama because "distance" due to the death would not be the real reason he's leaving.

I agree with you there but this has more to do with playing time than anything.

How the hell could Bama fit him on their roster? The are having a clearing house as of lately....

Doesn't make sense for Bama either.

my buddy is OC at a local high school in Mobile, he told me when he was signed that he would never play and the only reason he was offered had to be to keep the pipe line open in Mobile. Good luck he will probably end up at USA.

Other than CJ and TT, Corley and Phelon were two of my favorite recuits from that 2007 class.

Didn't Corley decommit from Florida to come to LSU? Maybe I am misremembering.

Weren't they sort of a "package deal". Both went to the same school, correct?
