I was at that game. It was amazing. It was one of those games where it'd be 3rd and 12, and Rohan would hit Josh Reed for the first down. But, then a ghost holding penalty would show up.

3rd and 22 and you (and everyone in the stadium) knew LSU would still convert. Rohan to Reed again. Money.

Corey Webster was an absolute baller and should be mentioned among the best DBs in LSU history.

But he developed into a really good corner back his Senior year. Improving every year is all you can hope for. Not saying he is an all time great or anything but after 2002 which I believe was his senior year. That’s when we really started to have some stud CBs starting with Corey Webster and then the rest is history after C Web we really started getting beast

I don’t remember Toliver transferring. Where did he transfer? He didn't. And Rashard Robinson didn't play anywhere else either.

I don’t know why I was thinking Toliver II transferred, that was incorrect.

Robinson technically got dismissed from LSU and transferred to Boward College in FL, but never played there- just trained for NFL.

Corey has always said LSU, with DiNardo as HC, was not recruiting him & he was going to sign with tulane. However, he said Saban came to see him on his second day at LSU after watching film, & offered him immediately. At St.James, for 4 years they put in the shotgun as QB & he ran all over the field; at deep safety, the same. Basketball, as a point guard, unstoppable. Baseball ,he crushed the ball.

Daniel Francis

I remember the name but barely remember what season he played, much less a single play he made.

Jessie Daniels was good too, but doesn’t make the list because as a Senior he kept getting trucked by True Freshman Tim Tebow in 2006. TT15’s introduction to America, and JD31 was on the receiving end of it.

You want underrated it’s that kid - I can’t even remember his name - but everyone dogged the hell out of him. He played nickel for us, and went on to a very good NFL career with the Cowboys, I believe.

I'll never forget what's his name.

What I mean by underrated is when the greatest DBs or corners are brought up here you’ll mostly see PP, TM7, White, Claiborne even Stingley by the fans who don’t hate him. Webster is seldom mentioned but as far as cover skills and creating turnovers imo he’s the best we ever had. Maybe not the most athletically gifted like PP or the best overall playmaker like TM7 but for what a cover guy does I’ve never seen better at LSU. And yea he had a very good NFL career with the Giants winning 2 Super Bowls as their best corner and the game he had in the NFC championship game in 07 is up there for best big game performance from an LSU corner in the NFL alltime.

Tory James and Denard Walker are also up there for most underrated. They were both outstanding mostly on our bad 90s teams but started the turnaround which began with our D in the mid 90s. They were also longtime NFL starters and no 1s in some cases during their pro careers.

McCray had one truly horrible game very early on, and people never forgot it. He improved throughout his career, but fans wouldn't let it go. I was glad to see him make it in the NFL.

We went out to Baumhower's Wings after the game, and the Bama fans were very friendly and complimentary of the Tigers.

We had to wait a really long time for a table, hung around for a long time, drove back to my buddy's house in Columbus, MS, and the Ole Miss-Arkansas game was still on TV. We saw the last couple of overtime periods, Ole Miss and Eli coming up short in the 7th overtime. Great day!

Probably the most underrated DB in LSU history

He was the ballhawk that crawled so that Mathieu could run.

So many big interceptions in 2002 and 03. The one in the first matchup against UGA where he tipped it to himself to ice the game had 13 year old Broski so hyped.

Ro threw for what, like 520 in that game? It just seemed like they all went to Josh Reed.

There were 235 yards that didn't go to Josh Reed, 3 games worth of Jordan Jefferson yards

That’s a guy who deserves to be in the “most underrated” conversation.
