He’s probably our best kicker…all while three others have scholarships.

Flashbacks to Songy and that old lady named Kathy that used to call.

That would be David Browndyke.

In 1989, he was 29 of 30 in XP attempts, and an INSANE 14 of 14 in FG attempts. His 4 year record for place kicks at LSU was simply unreal.

As usual you are a dumbass. He's talking about Aidan Corbello, John's son.

Corbello wasn't good very good. Never understood the hype.
9 of 12 (good for a freshman)
10 of 18
14 of 23
17 of 24

Not even 2 out of every 3 was between the uprights. And he wasn't kicking many 50+ these were 35-40 yarders he was missing.

Kickers didn’t have the luxury of camps and coaches back then. He probably started kicking in 10th or 11th grade. Much different now.

Or maybe saban didn't care about getting good place kickers. Took him years at bama to finally get a decent one.

True. I don’t think he had a special teams coach at Bama…so he’s been rolling without one like LSU.

Will saved their arse the last 5 years…and we’ve been on the ropes since Cade.

We’ll see if Talty has the stuff at Bama…LSU’s range is somewhere inside 50 yards, and we’re lucky to have that consistency at all.

Definitely not a priority at either school.

I don’t think it’s that bigtime programs aren’t prioritizing kickers; there just aren’t a lot of Justin Tuckers out there.

There’s plenty of data available (charting scores and competition wins at national invitational camps)…LSU didn’t need to scholarship two kickoff specialists after Cade…specially since Cade didn’t even kick off. Get another punter that kicks off on scholarship then an accurate kicker with some range.

Just my opinion though. I think it comes down to turnover in the specialist coaching staffs…
