One the major things that I am missing about baseball is sitting in my tickets near and around Coon’s Corner.

One of the major things I'm missing about LSU Baseball is LSU Baseball actually playing a season!

That, plus SEC/National Championships.

And, the old Box. The new Box is "Pretty" at night from the outside, but the physical structure and "Atmosphere" inside is significantly lacking.

Many LSU fans agree and aren't thrilled. The proof is in the pudding. Attendance ("Actual", not LSU promoted "Paid") has been declining for the last few years and many see the program in the baseball version of the last few years of Les Miles.

Just about that time, huh Scott?.

(Program Groupies/Worshippers/Idolizers remain blind and undaunted though. )

If it existed today, the Coon’s Corner sign would be deemed racist because of the word Coon

Is O at fault for attendance being down at LSU football?

Early on, 99 or 00, we hosted played southern in a regional at the box and the ncaa questioned the sign to LSU. Thankfully the security guard for our section took up for us and explained it to the ncaa powers that be that day and we were good to go.

If that happened today, we’d be cancel cultured for sure.

What year you started coons corner? 98-99 ish. I remember sitting right field as a student 96 and 97. It was rowdy but coons corner gave it a purpose. Many right fielders for opposing teams hated going out there. Of course there were a couple hundred balls they had to watch go over their head.

I remember them bringing a "Sucks To Be Reif" sign to an Auburn game and heckling him.

Coke a Cola was started by a confederate soldier and had cockane in it at the beginning. They have not done anything to clean up there image and LSU could stick with that plan.
Please save Coon’s Coner. Thank you

Coon’s corner was named after a guy from Thibodaux who’s nickname was Coon, went to high school with him

Why make a statement that can easily be looked up, and make you look like a total dumbass, in under 10 seconds?
LSU leading the nation baseball attendance was once some to be proud of because it was legit. Now it is actually embarrassing that they still claim that. I bet if you went back the last 6 years and pulled real data which means buts in seats they would be hard pressed to average 6500 for the season and maybe 7500 for SEC games.

Still is.

For the past 2 years, they outdrew a Major League team on a per game basis. The Marlins, but still.

I'd say that is a pretty optimistic number also. Probably closer to 6
