Coon’s Corner

One the major things that I am missing about baseball is sitting in my tickets near and around Coon’s Corner.
My son’s longtime friends’-cousin was Richard Coon who started that corner some years ago when lsu had the old stadium which some consider the best at that time. Dick was and still is a noble heckelar and though there was legal infringement when it came to politicle correctness. No matter what he was always helping the team though.
Now my grandson who is affiliated more closer with the university in this day is telling me there will be no more Coons Corner because of the legal issue of politicle correctness. I am sorry but Dick Coon cannot change his name and therefour the Coon banner will fly.
Does anyone know or have friends in the university that can ensure the safety of this sacred bond of right field radicles?
I do want the library change though. I have never liked the Middletons since middle school for me.

Coke a Cola was started by a confederate soldier and had cockane in it at the beginning. They have not done anything to clean up there image and LSU could stick with that plan.

Coincidentally, the first time I ever went to a game at the box, I remember some jackass behind the LSU dugout loudly referring to the coon's corner as 3rd base. It was being manned by Trae Duncan.

I had to hard brake to a stop for a family of coons driving in after nightshift. It was Moma and 6 Cubs.

What year you started coons corner? 98-99 ish. I remember sitting right field as a student 96 and 97. It was rowdy but coons corner gave it a purpose. Many right fielders for opposing teams hated going out there. Of course there were a couple hundred balls they had to watch go over their head.
