Saban kept Eddy lacy eligible.
Saban has kept his little wide receiver eligible and he can't speak English.
If you can't make the grades I don't know what to tell you.

So you are sticking with a composite that includes an incomplete ESPN ranking at #7, while the two completed sites have lsu #3 and #4. Ok

I don't lose sleep over what they all say. I figure that they're all slanted so I just average it out and watch the players.

theuma was a starting guard/tackle. Someone in the academic center in the coaching staff knew he was a risk back during the 2016 season. That’s all about attention to detail to your starters.
Like players getting caught smoking dope. Letting us lose Matthieu, Savion Smith and Fulton's suspension? Teuhema played 6 games at OT as a sophomore before getting booted. He was an average player at SELU. I watched at least 4 games for SELU. He went undrafted, was signed by the saints and cut that year. He now plays for AAF San Antonio. He turned out to be a head case like his brother who also left the team.

Bottom line: 24/7 & ESPN have both gotten flakey as hell
& LSU has a solid claim to the #3 spot that Rivals named them
24/7 has been considered the standard for years now. Rivals is second. Then ESPN.
But I'm sure your love of rivals has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that they just so happen to give LSU the highest rating, and have a few LSU players rated much higher than the other recruiting sites.

Disgusting isn't it? Fans happy about a site that has players rated high.
People being positive, touting a high rank, what the frick is this world coming to?

"Has been" is the key phrase.
24/7 leap-frogs Penn State into #3... Is still using ESPN's woefully incomplete data... I guess if no one is paying attention, then 24/7 is "the standard" - LOL

I guess if you were trying to pump up a class ranking (which last year we were told class rank didn't matter. Of course you weren't here for that though), then using the site that gave LSU the most 5 stars would be very advantageous.

Are you really worried if someone thinks we finished 3rd or 5th?

Remind me again Derek, I could swear you and your underlings disparaged Les’ high rankings because they were propped up by skill players and the #15 ranking last year was poo-pooed because we needed more lineman. This year’s class’s high ranking is based primarily on the haul we got on skill players-so we got great DB’s that can make downfield tackles on Alabama RB’s as their OL is skull dragging our DL (especially in 2020)? And we continue to load up on OG without any elite OT’s-is E planning to feature the toss dive again?
It’s a good class, but the constantly moving metrics the O team uses is just plain amusing.

I guess that also explains your love of the sites that rank them lower.

Arguing between 5th and 3rd for recruiting rankings lol. Nothing could be more pointless or petty

Although I was primarily watching basketball coverage that day, I do recall ESPN talking national signing day some and posting the rankings. It’s really strange that they post those rankings and talk about it without updating the rankings from the national signing day commits.
Seems like if you’re going to discuss on national TV at least update the rankings from national signing day commits. Seems like an important piece to me. I’ll never understand why ESPN spends billions on college football but is so bad at recruiting coverage.
All that said, very good LSU class. I agree with your OP.

Um what? Arguing over 2 places in recruiting or over which recruiting site is more legit than the other is meaningless and petty period. You don’t have to go looking for underlying themes in the post because there aren’t any. I’d give my opinion on which one I believe is most accurate but people like you don’t allow for anyone’s opinion if it’s different than yours so why would I? The argument is silly that is all.

why do you prefer Rivals to 24/7s site ranking (not their composite)?
Posted on 2/11/19 at 11:59 pm to Madking
Splitting hairs here. It was a good class. Now time for coaches to do their jobs and develop the talent.

Exactly right and that’s my point but what you have is and endless argument over every little meaningless thing from those who are so insecure they have to overstate and exaggerate everything 0 does against those who are unwilling to give him any credit at all. The main problem is that even when someone states the obvious truth the coalition of Orgerons online defense team attacks. Anything other than blind loyalty and worship is considered hating or shitting on him by these fanatics. Take the OP for instance, he uses the highest possible ranking from the least respected of the 3 recruiting sites and attacks anyone who says otherwise even though the other 2 are more accurate and more widely used throughout football. Using the average of the 3 would be more of an honest statement but even that isn’t allowed and was disqualified in the OP.
