college FB you make no sense.

Apparently LSU's defense isn't good enough. And I agree LSU's defense has struggled with tackling, getting off blocks in a timely manner, covering receivers man to man, pressuring the QB consistently and hasn't been 100 percent healthy this entire season. Some of these issues can be addressed and improved, some can't. But for the sake of this team, this season, LSU needs better play from back-ups or get the starters back on the field (maybe both when Aub. and Fla. games get here, definitely when the game against the leprechaun gets here). This season is extremely important for Ed Orgerons career at LSU. And there is no way he can survive a 3 loss season, not 3 losses in the regular season anyway. This defense is supposed to be better than last season, and unless it starts getting there..... If this team isn't at least in the conversation for CFP at the end of the season, and/or beats bama, I'd say Ed will be on the hot seat. Scott likes and expects winners, the best in college sports, anything short and he will shake things up and get people who can deliver. He proved that at TAMU, he proved he not only WILL go after the best coaches in college athletics, he proved he COULD do it. Just hope Ed can right the ship, if not, well, next coach up! Hell, I wouldn't be surprised that Scott goes after saban if Ed can't get the job done. Man, wouldn't that ruffle some feathers in bama land. I can hear them crying and screaming now.

No. Not letting said cross divisional scrub score 38 points helps you jump another team.

OSU fans would know about that, reminded damn near every year of it aren't they?

And it’s a 2 fricking point difference between them so for all intents and purposes, it’s a tie.

no, a tie is a tie.

SO let me get this right, when LSU beats down who ever tomorrow and OSU beats a weak MSU team LSU should rejump them because the TX win is waaaaaaaaay better than MSU win.

RIght?

I was wondering how OSU is rated higher than LSU when LSU has at least 1 real win??
Pretty simple. Ohio State put together a dominating win in prime time on the road last week, against a name team (yes, Nebraska still is a name team, just like Miami).
Meanwhile, LSU... didn't play. And before that, we haven't seen the defense we expected since Georgia Southern.

Don't worry, if we win during conference play, we'll move back up. We have a ton of huge games coming up.

On a side note, I guess you can say O has officially done his job, as now we have fans bitching that we're "only" #5 in the country.

Not trying to be a dick, but if you don't even know who we play today ,then why do you care?

The only rankings that matter are the ones the playoff committee releases. And they haven’t started yet.

This.

Can't figure out why people even care about those rankings. They determine nothing... just like mine. And incidentally My rankings have LSU ahead of Ohio State.

And as a bonus my rankings don't have a team listed that goes by the name of "the ohio state". Y'all should probably start paying more attention to my rankings.

As many have said, it doesn’t matter.
If we beat Auburn,FL, and Alabama we will be #1.

They looked great on national TV vs. Nebraska and voters have short memories. Plain and simple.

There is only one poll that matters, and it only matters after the SEC Championship Game.

Certain schools are media darlings and Ohio State is one of them for sure. LSU isn't one of them. They favor certain schools for sure in the media, whether it's for click bait or the extra viewers they may acquire from doing so.

Notre Dame
Alabama
USC
Michigan
Ohio State
Texas
Oklahoma

...the media loves these teams and favors them alot. just like they do with Duke, UNC, Kansas, Michigan St, etc in basketball. Just watch, not just this year but every year, these teams will get more media love and coverage than other, more deserving programs. It's a joke really and very obvious. Notre Dame is the worst. The media is always gargling their nuts and gives them the benefit of the doubt damn near every time.

Another thing to be aware of when you play these teams is officiating. They will get the 50/50 calls and all of the borderline calls will go their way. You have to beat both them and the officials when you play them...especially if you play at their place. Media bias is real and very much alive. It's bullshite. Geaux Tigers.

They are the best team in the big ten. Michigan has pooped the bed again. It’s all about money and keeping people tuned in.

Don’t be surprised if they try to creep up a PAC team in a couple weeks.

Simple their defense has been dominant. Ohio State has the #2 ranked defense, LSU sitting at #32

Rankings don't matter at this point.

OSU # 1???

am I the only one that noticed OKlah is super good and has a playoff caliber QB and OSU has a rookie coach and qb?

There is some TBD but OK, AL, Clem, LSU/GA, is there really any other options?

Either you don't keep up with football or you're trying really hard.

OSU has a playoff caliber QB in Justin Fields - he's right in the middle of the running for the heisman. Just like Joe Burrow is.

OSU has a rookie coach

A "rookie" coach that inherited the #2 talented team in the country.
