Hate to tell you this, but they have always been that way. Even though they never won the SEC before he got there, they have always been the epitome of entitled fans.

I know; I grew up among them.

I have been going to the out of town games for over 50 years and I have a very high tolerance for rough treatment but by far the rudest most vulgar and obnoxious fans I have ever encountered were the ones in Little Rock in 2010

Gator fans during Spurrier yes, but Ole Miss fans, they have not won jack in 50+ years and still are arrogant…unreal..

frick them

I was there in ‘06. Before the game, the people we interacted with were great. During and after, I was able to see how Gainesville earned its reputation. You have to keep your cool, because Gator fans can be pretty obnoxious.

(Let me preface by saying the Bama fans I actually know and have met at tailgates are good people, and the following story was on the fringes of campus).

One that always stands out to me is after game of the century I was walking back to the truck with my parents and my brother. We were minding our own business when all of a sudden a grown woman started screaming, "frick LSU and frick you" then proceeded to throw rocks at us. We were across the street, and she was either too drunk or too inbred to have the coordination to actually hit us. Still it was a pretty surreal and pathetic thing to see.

As already stated Florida fans are pretty bad. Went in 06 and heard more Katrina jokes than I could keep track of.

Texas Tech Fans 2015(?)

Grown arse women cursed my daughter in law and granddaughter. My granddaughter was yelling only louder every time fournette smashed their shitty defense. It got heated then they scored and flung a tortilla and it hit my granddaughter’s face. That lit my daughter in law to the point that my son had to leave the section he was in to go and drag her out.

I was in the area walking in and they were already chirping before the game.

Aggies will confirm that they were the worse by a mile in the Big 12. They actually threw a goal post in the visitors section of their stadium when they upset TAMU once.

At Florida sucks. Bunch of stiffs

2007 me and my brother get out the truck in Tuscaloosa around 6am at this Boy Scouts parking area not far from the stadium. Get out, grab the ice chest and 2 dudes probably 18-21 years old walk right at us and yell ROLL MOTHER frickIN TIDE!!!
And walked off

I asked them if they felt better and one turned around and laughed and said yeah.

Eta: 2009 we’re back in t-town tailgating with some people we met 2 years earlier. A group of frat stars pull up. Stoned out their minds. Dude gets out the back seat munchin on a bag of Doritos. Another dude says hey man that’s what we’re supposed to bring to the party. The lone brother says no worries. Pulls out a stapler from his inside jacket pocket and staples the bag closed.

Was funny to see that unfold in person.

How much time did you spend in jail? If you didn't respond to the level that landed you in jail I have no respect for you. I am not a big man or a bad man but if someone spit on me or a family member someone is getting a arse whipping either them or me. Their isn't a worst thing some can do than spit on someone.

It’s Morgantown WV and it isn’t even close. They nearly beat a man to death as well as punched his wife in the face. Ohh by the way she was pregnant. You might say what did they do to antagonize WVU fans? How about sit in their car in traffic. I was at the game, but I met the man who was beaten on a flight a few years back. Let me tell you this article doesn’t give the actual story justice. For that reason alone I’ll never go to that place.

UGA fans with the barking at every kickoff is fricking annoying.

2008 Georgia game at home. Drunk Georgia student with glasses running up and down the steps getting in people’s faces, cussing. Like bad; women and children too. Most obnoxious individual I’ve ever encountered at a game. When it was over, on the way down, I bullied him like an 8th grader. He did nothing.

Hands down at Florida in 2004. The LSU fan section was right next to the Florida students and they were the biggest a-hole fans I’ve ever seen.

Right up until Marcus Randle hit Joe Addai for a TD with a minute or so left in the game. They got real quiet after the at.

South Carolina 2003. Terrible experience with a couple of very drunk SC fans prior to the game. Everyone else at that game was very nice.

UGA fans have always been nice to our family as well.

I had a completely different experience. The Arizona State co-eds were the best. As last minute as that trip was, it's still the best road game, I've ever been on. It's unfortunate this return trip has gotten postponed to 2030.

Worst fan confrontations:
2007@ Bama (the first Nick Saban game in Tuscaloosa). Not so much the game, but the night before.

2015 @Syracuse - sat by the drunkest, trashiest dude from Poughkeepsie, NY. Dude was even picking on a 9-year old LSU fan. It was a 12pm game, and he pretty much blacked out by halftime. Had to be carried out by his wife.
