Has to be a typo I'm guessing. The 26th is right.

Granted, it appears that the team was sleepwalking through the Vandy and UW games, so perhaps it won't really matter.

so if we don't blow them out, this will serve as a great excuse.

No, not really. In fact, I got into a huge internet melee immediately following the Vandy game for pointing out that the defense actually improved and played well.

We have seemed strangely sluggish through the first two games, though. Perhaps it was the travel and the weather.

so what channel for those of us outside of Baton Rouge?

In Houston it's on basic cable channel 55. KTBU picked up the rights to the SEC morning game for the whole season I believe. They had TN the first week and Florida this past saturday.

what channel is this alleged sec network?

whatever channel has been showing SEC games at 11:20 the last two weeks. It's the channel that is showing the old Jefferson pilot crew. It's not an actual ESPN network.
In Dallas these games have been on local channel 21. Some afternoon games are being shown on Fox Southwest out here too.
They showed Florida / Troy this past Sat. so just go to whatever channel showed that last week.

How dare you! We're now lucky enough to have Andre Ware (the reason he quit his morning gig in houston) doing the SEC games.

The SEC Network is carried on ESPN Gameplan in Chicago. It is not available on regular cable (at least, it isn't avaibale on any of the standard or premium sports channels that Comcast offers in Lincoln Park). If you buy Gameplan, the SEC Network will air on one of the Comcast channels between 421 and 426.
