The concession stands in the East upper were the worst in my 12 years as a season ticket holder. I emailed the athletic dept last night and have already received a reply. They are well aware of the issues but the most important part of the reply was that there will be a survey the concession operator will be sending to all season ticket holders. So when you get it, let them have it. I can't imagine anything other than a poor rating.

This is their first year. They're dealing with problems from previous years. We need to give Aramark at least three years to implement their system.

Good to hear that fans' concerns are actually being acknowledged here. Something tells me any changes won't happen in time to save this baseball season, but hopefully a new vendor can happen in time for next Fall.

Hopefully it won't take them another 2 years to figure out that one person running one register per window with a line 30 people deep just isn't going to work.

The First, Third Baptist Church choir was way more organized than this professional firm. Also, seldom did they ever run out of anything. That's a regular occurrence now days.

I see what you are doing here.

Unfortunately for all of us, I think Aramark has turned into the second coming of Lou Tepper. Is there an item on the menu called the "drop linebacker?"

He's being facetious about the Orgeron hire.

I found a copy of the Aramark contract on the net;
contract

They can be replaced.

A couple of notes; Aramark didn't receive the executed contract until July 7th. For whatever reason they didn't get the go ahead until several weeks before the season started. I think LSU made a mistake here.

Also, LSU does get a cut of sales, so those saying it's a fixed fee are wrong. If sales decline so does LSU's cut decline. LSU has a dog in the hunt so to speak.

I'm thinking this survey people are seeing might help change. I suggest folks take it seriously.

All I know is when I read this part...

it triggered flashbacks to Lou Tepper saying it would take about that long to implement his defensive scheme at LSU.

Lower west stand operator here - daughters high school group has done one for last 2 years. First game of year, we ran out of almost everything, in the first quarter. Ok, growing pains for the new company. 2nd game, our group shows up with the 11 people it takes to cover our stand, aramark has us man 2 stands, with our 11 and 2 of their personal. So both stands are short the necessary people. 3rd game, we email the week before asking if we should bring additional workers if we are going to man both stands. Answer is "Not, y'all only doing 1 stand. Get to the game - "please man both stands like last time." With no extra aramark people.
This week, they supplied 27 points and 140 hot dogs. We have sold 250 hot dogs and 100 points every week except week 1. And they wondered why we ran out. They are freakin clueless!

The stand closest to section 215 ran out of bottled water 20 minutes BEFORE the game started.

Thanks for sharing, Big Bill. I think this account shows that we should be careful not to take our frustrations out on the actual stand workers.
