If LSU shows up and plays their game they will have no problem with Florida.

Dude. Have you been paying attention? Our team has been decimated with academic issues, discipline issues, and injuries. We are not the same team we were a month ago. We're still very good but you don't lose eleven to fifteen players (depending on the injury status as of this writing) and not feel some effect.

Right now, I would say playing on the road, LSU and Florida are pretty close.

You need to pay more attention.

It will likely be a tough game. I've been saying such since the offseason. Florida has recruited well, they have speed, Muschamp is a much improved gameday coach in his second year, and they are finally enjoying some stability at the QB position. The Swamp is an imposing venue and Miles is 1-2 there. The victory came in the waning seconds of the game and required a fortuitous bounce on a fake punt. We should win, but I doubt we'll annihilate them as we did last season.

I love how everyone has to qualify every Miles decision as lucky. The guy needs to buy a lottery ticket and retire.

At the thought that Miles would need the lotto to retire. Dude could call it quits right now and he and his family would be set for life. You know how much his annual salary is right?

Well I figured he might want more money. Does he not ask for raises at times?

Yep, my bad.

In response to the other post:

No need to be so defensive. My point was merely that the Swamp is a difficult venue. Miles has won there a single time, but it wasn't as if we dominated the game. There is no shame in admitting that we did require a lucky bounce on the fake. It was a very fortuitous bounce. Then we did a great job finishing the drive.

You are saying that we are going to beat a Top 10/15, undefeated Florida team in the Swamp by more than three touchdowns? I suppose that could happen, but it doesn't seem very likely. What's the early line on the game right now?

I remember s certain 2011 lsu team that had to overcome serious off the field issues and injuries as well. Look what they did.

The dominance shown by the team so far is a testament to the depth of talent we have. This is a no bullshite, hard hitting, take no prisoners elite football squad and Florida will experience that soon enough.

Will they play a good game? Probably.
Something to get concerned over?

Nah.

We were ranked #4 in 08 an 09. Their ranking thus far isn't an indication of how good they are, just the importance of their name and other top rated teams sucking. I think we go in their and shut down their offense big time.

Florida is a tough venue and their staff seems to make good adjustments.

That being said, Bowling Green ran for 101 yards (and they're a passing team), aTm sacked Driskell 6 times and Tennessee is just not very good (UF looked really good against Tennessee last year too). Bearing those things in mind, I think LSU will be able to run on them (and, therefore throw, on them) and I think our defense eats them alive.

This is obviously the key match-up: our offensive line versus their defensive line. Coming into the season, many had pegged Florida's defensive line as one of the Top 3 in the SEC. Now, they have suffered injuries along the line which may alter that assessment. But LSU has injuries along the O-line as well. In two out of three games, our pass protection has been questionable.

Relax! Fake a field goal, run it on 4th down however many times in a row, etc. etc. Les at this moment is thinking of other ways to foil Muff Champ.
