I would imagine Miles would probably tell him to go back up in the booth?

He isn't going to be on the sidelines you silly old man

Miles gives everyone the benefit of the doubt whether he's best friends or not.

You're talking about a man that parted ways with a Super Bowl team over play calling.

This move by Miles is most beneficial simply because a move was made number one, and additionally, it includes someone that can and will take charge. There will be no second guessing.

Another fact that bodes well for LSU, is that Cameron has been criticized recently for some of the same things that LSU fans have had issues with in the LSU offensive system. Everywhere Cameron has gone has improved offensively, and I think the combination of Cameron's criticism and Miles' underperforming offenses could result in drastic changes that are needed.

LSU only needs to be in the middle of the SEC offensively to compete for national championships. We need TE's and FB's, but there must be some creativity.

I really think DC's are going to have to make serious adjustments in their approach to defending us come next year.

Yeah, you're right...that never works out well.

Blanket statements are so much fun!

it's a legit concern for long time LSU fans.

Gerry D seemedto have turned the program around. DC left one year, GD hires Tepper becuae "we've worked together in the past"...it was a disaster

OC leaves next year, GD hires McConnel because "we've worked together in the past"....disaster

now CLM is a better coach that GD- period. But the working together thing could be a disaster, we've seen it before

now before the morons come in, I don't think that will be the case. But there are no guarantees in anything

The "no guarantee" basically obviates your previous prattle.

I am concerned about paying my bills at the end of the month, and my cholesterol count.

Other than that, stoked about LSU football and think this is a great hire; time will tell as with all things.

No guarantee he'll be in the booth. He reviewed covers and plays from photos on sidelines with Bal and prefers it I gather..
I guess we'll see how much he trusts his new coworkers interpreting skills.

Sometimes the reason people are good friends is why they can't work together. Cameron is known to be headstrong and a little feisty. What happens if he blows up at Miles on the sideline over a call that gets changed?

I never meant to imply that a change in Offensive coordinator was not needed or that Cameron wasn't the man for the job. I didn't imply the sky was falling.
It was just an observation.
Generally i think Miles has done a good job of hiring coaches. I'm in the camp that thinks he has generally done a good job. I really can't argue with the success he has had.
10 wins a year is nothing to sneeze at....
but the national championship game will forever stick in my throat.

You're right. It's hopeless. Everything is ruined because of Cam.

They became friends while coaching. That is the difference than being friends and then working together.

If this works out then it will be great. If it doesn't work out it makes Les look bad because this is another year of failed offense with a new coordinator. The thing about Les is he has a problem letting people go even when it's not working out. He will probably be less inclined to fire a good friend. Les is gonna sink or swim with Cam.
