Concern is warranted

The total meltdown I'm witnessing here, however, is not.
We had concerns about the offensive line and offense in general coming into the season. I was encouraged after the Miami game, even though there were obvious issues. I was discouraged after last night's performance, even though there were a few positives.
So, basically, I'm back where I stated before the season. I'm not sure why so many of you seem ready to throw in the towel on the season after two games, which were both wins, one of which was over a top 20 team.
Can we at least get out of September before we start throwing dirt on these guys?

All you need to do is look at the defenses remaining on the schedule to realize that this season will get real ugly, real fast without a vast improvement offensively.

Finally someone correctly saying that Miami is a top 20 team and not the number 8 team. Good job!

Who really knows where they are ranked. They could be a top 5 or out of the top 25. Same could be said for Clemson. They struggled with A&M and who knows how good they really are.

They are not a top 5 team with their QB and OL. Their OL was pretty damn bad.

My own personal melt is over the fact that we aren't helping ourselves with our scheme, we are actually hurting our self... history, both very recent and older, points to it.
If it's not working, try something different.
And if our coaches are, like some posters god forbid, are telling themselves "hey, we got the W, it's all good" then we are indeed repeating history.
We got the W, no need to change anything right? We now have 2 data points. And while only a line, and not a trend just yet, it points to that being our trajectory.
Quit doing things on offense that cause you to be #1 in the SEC in only 1 category: Punts
If that is the net result, please stop. My melt is over the fact that they don't seem to want to stop doing ineffective things and at least try something that has a chance.
It is a worthy melt... in my mind anyway.

It will take the greatest football coach in the history of football to save LSU from these fans But any coach with any credentials and any sense will stay far away from this place because of these miserable f**** wads

Auburn struggled with Mercer then kicked Georgia is the face everyone calm tf down.

A few breaks here and there and LSU can still go 8-4.

notre dame barely beat ball state. florida looked really good beating a nobody and then looked really bad vs Kentucky.
we won the damn game 31-0. it says nothing about how we will scheme vs real teams. it was a practice game and I assume the coaching staff practiced what they wanted to practice.

The offense is a work in progress, obviously. We just have to take it one game at a time. Our only objective right now needs to be to score 1 more point than Auburn.
It's a little early for all the hand wringing about defenses we play in October and November.

So, we just wanted to let our qb get btfo and have to max pro with 2 routes being ran? You know, just for practice. The o line got destroyed. Take the purple and yellow glasses off.

It's the Chikin Bizkit Bowl for the forseeable future. Come to accept that and life as an LSU fan will be much easier for you.

Miserable f****wads have absolutely NOTHING to do with football team performance or W-L record.
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Say it again.

quote:yep. But I expect them to improve, not hide from the issues. We all know the definition of insanity- we're starting to see it.

If they take steps to adjust to weaknesses, and emphasize strengths- then yes. But I'm not seeing that. I'm seeing "this isn't working, but I don't want to try anything else, maybe it will get better".
quote:This I disagree with. For fans, yes. For the team and coaches- hell no. If they don't feel a sense of urgency to improve and change things up, then we do indeed have a culture problem. I don't give two shits if Orgeron "feels comfortable" with CSE, he better be up in that arse. If he's not, shame on him. Orgeron should demand and expect better. So should everybody on the team from Burrow down to the practice squad.

Again, if they don't recognize there's a problem, take positive steps to adjust to it or fix it, and have a sense of urgency with a SEC-W matchup 6 days away, the program has rot.

The first half offense against Miami was dynamic. The third quarter offense against Miami was pretty decent.
The first quarter offense against SLU was dynamic. The second quarter offense was decent.
We're obviously having problems, but I don't think it's as bad as you're making them out to be.

Yeah, man, I'm talking about fan reaction here. I'm sure the coaches are aware, as we all are, that the offense needs to improve significantly over the course of the season.
