I'm telling you guys Brad Wing will own this game.

I agree that B.Wing is one of the x-factors in this game. If he sticks bama deep in their territory and makes A.J. have t march the field. Bama is in trouble.

Rightly or wrongly, most would give the LSU DBs an edge over Bama's. That probably would raise eyebrows among Bama fans because UA's DB's are VERY good.

Intangibles - Our kicking/Punting game is very strong. There is an odd perception on the Bama Boards that LSU is an "undisciplined" team. Very strange stuff. This team makes very few mental errors and/or turnovers.

Bama should enter as a favorite d/t homefield.

Offensive Line - Alabama My response? Highly laughable. Fluker is a JOKE on the edge, & if you're forced into passing situations, LSU's starter & backup Defensive Ends are tied for the lead-wide lead in sacks with 4 apiece. You are in trouble if you can't completely lean on the run. On our side, Faulk & Blackwell are both former SEC OL of the week. Matter of fact, Blackwell's won it as a Right Guard & a Left Guard. We're 3-4 deep on the interior, and have been mauling people with Blackwell playing at LG as the 3rd guard on that side, with Williford playing on the Right as the 2nd guard. T-Bob is normally the starter on the Left Side, & we lost our best interior lineman in Josh D prior to the season beginning. Greg Shaw started already at tackle, which means we're 3 deep at that postion, and Faulk is a SERIOUS future NFL high round draft pick if he stays healthy. NO basis to claim anything other than "maybe" a push at this position.
Wide Receivers - LSU
Running Backs - Alabama My response: Your starter can't run the ball every down. We have far and away more talent throughout the depth chart at this position. You're extremely top-heavy. I'd say a push here, & I say that with a straight face. Did you miss the part where we ran for 174 yards on Saturday using nothing but sophomores and 18 year olds? With our starter-whose also only a 19 year old Sophomore-sitting out?
Tight Ends - Even My response: Based on what? Clement, Joseph, & Peterson have all caught TD passes against ranked teams this year, and D-Lo Peterson has had huge plays in every game against your team. You do realize Saban's Achilles' in his schemes is always the TE, right? Push here-AT BEST.
Quarterbacks - LSU
Defensive Line - LSU
Linebackers - Alabama
Defensive Backs - Alabama My response: You're a complete idiot. LSU has more than 4 NFL prospects in its Defensive Secondary. Claiborne's a Top 10 pick-RIGHT NOW. He's also only a Junior. He's also the oldest kid we've got back there. We're playing better than your Secondary is-RIGHT NOW-and we're younger. Deeper as well. Did you see the part where our Safeties & dime DB played as starters at Corner & Nickel Saturday? Better yet, did you see the Pick 6 the guy who can't get on the field had? Yeah, you're stupid.
Special Teams - LSU
Coaching - Even
Home Field - Alabama
Intangibles - Even

What does all of this mean? Both teams very equal. The team that makes the fewest misktaes wins the game.

They're not. Bama has the better running backs.

Brad Wing may just be the difference in this game as well as this game's MVP IMHO

You know he will. He is the best punter in college football bar none. Other than blocking a kick, it is very hard to effect a punters skill. It's not like knocking a good QB on his arse 10 times in a game.

Wrong on the Oline and Dbacks and terrible way to compare since our Oline won't go up against yours, etc. Keys to this win:
1. Turnovers--Slight Edge LSU
2. Field Position (i.e. special teams)--Edge LSU
3. Yds on first down (LSU O more dimensional)--slight edge LSU
4. 3rd down efficiency(see previous 2)-slight edge LSU
5. Intangibles---(home field/revenge from last year)--Alabama
What's it all mean? LSU by 3 in OT.

The all around key to this game is make A.J. beat LSU. Put him in situations like 3 & 7 and make him have to be the general of the field. I personally don't think he can do it.

Linebackers are hard to compare when one team runs a 3/4 and one runs a 4/3. One dictates lighter/faster, the other dictates heavier, hard hitting.

6-4 LSU and the biggest 3 (QB, Special Teams and D Line) are heavy LSU wins.

you cannot possibly be objective if you say bama's db's are better than lsu's.

gfunk - You obviously are an idiot and stupid to go with it. Alabama has 2 DBs that will go 1st round and possibly three. What would make you think we only have one running back? Bama has Richardson, Lacy and Fowler. Some posters on this board try to have civil conversations and opinions, then a complete moron (you!) screw it all up.

FIFY

I think RB advantage - Bama, but by a slim margin. Yes, TR is the best in the country IMO, but take him away, and the advantage goes to LSU's stable of backs. Lacy is very talented and could start at a lot of schools, but it seems like LSU can just put anyone back there and they'll gash you up the middle.

I agree. I've watched AJ quite a bit and two things that LSU needs are consistant pressure and/force him to move his feet. This guy lives and dies by dumping the ball off to Richardson. He does use his TE's more than most young QB's. He will float many "opportunities" into our secondary and we need to make him pay for it.

I think LSU's D makes a lot of plays flying around the field and some think that to be a "playmaker", you have to take chances and be "undisciplined". In order to force all of those turnovers, they must have given up some big plays.

Why do you people keep saying stuff like this? Have not seen coverage of Bama's secondary? They are very, very good, and picking them over LSU's, while maybe not to your liking, is not even close to a stretch.
