Compare Canada/Maryland offense with LSU

I'm not happy with what Steve E and our O has produced in the last 3 halves but to compare Maryland's standings to ours is not realistic.
Maryland had to play pedal to the metal all 4 qtrs to beat Texas in opening game. Alternatively, we were up by 30 and just trying to kill clock in the last half(almost all) of Miami. Had we continued as we had in first half we would have finished with 400-450 total yards.
Against Bowling Green, Maryland was down 14-10 at halftime. Good chance SLU's 2nd half offense would have scored more than 10 on Bowling Green in 30 minutes. So again, Canada had to play 60 minutes to get the win. They did score 35 points in the 2nd half with 2 of the 5 2nd half TDs coming in the last 6 minutes of the game. Comparing the two offenses at this stage of the season don't really produce any conclusions other than UMD's receivers are much more tired at the end of their game than are LSU's.

Canada fricking sucks with his shitty shifty offense. He's garbage.

I love the downvotes because you are speaking truth.

There are all sorts of nuances to how Ensminger accumulated his stats during his interim period as OC (having both Fournette and Guice and playing some teams with horrid run defense that year) but that didn't stop people from pointing to it to justify replacing Canada with him.

#36 in total offfense
#111 in total offense
Please, argue with statistical facts.

Maryland beat Texas by more points last year (without Cananda) - and beat Texas in Austin.
Maryland hung 51 points on Texas last year. Texas sucks.

quote:LSU has more points and yards vs Bama in 2017 at Bama then in 2016 at LSU. 2016 LSU has MUCH more talent. And that actually compares Einsminger vs Canada in a relevant situation.

Sounds like Maryland’s offense is playing a full game for Canada and LSU’s offense doesn’t know how to play a complete game

You can try to ignore what happened but it doesn’t change that it happened. We paid 1.5 million just in a buyout to go from Canada to E.

Last time I looked, LSU was ranked #12 & #13. A&M and Maryland and Texas are all unranked.
You know. Comparing them.

In my mind it is a result of adjustments, or philosophy.
If you offense is always, 4 quarters, probing for and attacking the defense it will by default be somewhat successful for 4Q.
If you, in philosophy, swap from attacking to "run our plays" you get an incomplete game because it allows the defense to adjust, with no counter.

Well, his past is affecting our present and future, so it’s understandable.

Why so much comparison, he has beaten a weak Texas team that won by 7 against Tulsa after losing to Maryland and Bowling Green.
Would be nice if this topic would just die. It won't though, if Canada keeps putting up numbers people will flock with the "why did we get rid of this guy" threads and if he stumbles the thread of "told you he wasn't as good as y'all thought" will fill the forum.
