Prediction: 13

We should have a better ranking than the current AP Poll depending on which of the thousands of metrics the committee decides to use this year.

1 loss teams: The only change I see is a possibility of LSU being ranked ahead of Texas Tech, however I don't see the committee doing that.
I think they still put Wake Forrest ahead of us as their only loss came from #1 Miami.

2 loss teams: Ohio State and Texas should be behind us in the rankings. Texas' 2 losses come from teams who are currently not ranked. Ohio State, now without their starting QB, and a play away from having 3 losses should be behind us.
Ole Miss obviously should remain ahead of us because of head to head factor and I believe Bama stays ahead of us (temporarily until an arse whoopin this Saturday).

Will be a lot of jumbling after a wild weekend of games coming up! Thoughts?

Only thing I'd add is we don't have a top 25 win - that will hurt our rankings.

But that will take care of itself the next 3 weeks.

Just win.

100% spot on. The rankings are a joke.

We’ll have to win out to reach the playoffs, but that’s reassuring to know we control our own destiny.

I can see a scenario where LSU has 3 losses and still makes the playoffs.

Texas will be ahead of us because of better wins (OSU and OM)

Yeah, I mean people could argue that our best win is against Clemson. I love our team and coaches, but we don’t have a quality win.

We have better losses than Texas. They lost to two unranked teams

Ohio State will be ahead of us because they’re Ohio State, their 2 losses are to Indiana and Texas (similar rankings as Kentucky / OM), and they do have a top 25 win in Iowa.

Not sure they factor in the loss of Sayin yet. That’ll sort itself out. If they lose again without him, they’ll drop out. If they win out without him, the QB1 loss shouldn’t bump them down any further.

Nice but means nothing unless we take care of business Saturday and beyond.

I think that's pretty close. I believe they'll rank us anywhere from 13-15.

Beat Bama convincingly, and the next poll should jump us to Top 10. Beat Texas and Tennessee, we continue the climb.

One game at a time.
