Yes kids do transfer from Bama too but the difference is that Bama can affford it because they basically have no weaknesses due to the amount of insane depth accumulated over the years.

You are right. Some of those kids Bear Bryant stockpiled are still eligible...

On CEH as surprise of camp...

“We always knew he was a good back, but about three days ago, he had a dominant day, first day in pads. Dominant,” Orgeron said. “He had three runs over 60 yards, way he makes them miss and hits the holes, versatility.”

Helaire could end up being a star in this offense. His stature is perfect.

Jacobys family about this. Right thing to do when u recruit a 5* S all year.

Didn't hear Jacoby's name much this spring.
Now a position change?
Could it be he's not as good as the press clippings?

CherriOs said in the other thread that Maea leaving didn't really change much. Weird that he's worried and they aren't.

Probably more because Todd Harris is a LOT BETTER than his press clippings.

Read my post. That it happens is neither news to me nor confusing. The fact that Orgeron feels the need to address that publicly is problematic to me. If it's not to you, fine, just move alone

Man you are right on with your comments. You should start a topic.

DL & LB were thin, not anymore. We continue to be good at CB & S. In O's first partial year recruiting, he signs two stud QB's. Future QB problems fixed. Now he has to fix the OL.

We should be real good at WR & TE this season. Obviously, we're in good shape at RB provided Guice stays healthy. Look for Darrel Williams to have a very good year.

So tired of the Saban never did anything wrong bullshite. He had several up & down years, but people forget that.

The lack of depth on the OL was inherited. It is the result of poor recruiting on the part of Miles & Grimes. By my count, we have 11 healthy OL and unless something catastrophic happens, we'll be good enough on offense. I have not been a fan of our OL coach. He hasn't recruited well since he got here several years ago and I believe his job is on the line. The culture is changing under Coach O, that's why players are leaving.

Let the season play out. Sure, the OL is a concern, but let's see what happens.

Watch Jacoby's 7 on 7 footage from last year. He is a sure handed, fluid receiver. He looks natural at the position.

He's not perfect but his rings speak volumes. I'm not a Saban lover but I won't pretend that he's not the best college coach in the game right now.

As an actual X and O coach, he's overrated. Otherwise a shitty coach like Hugh Freeze wouldn't have beaten him so often and he would of had a much better NFL career. That's a fact.

HE is so "good" at Alabama because he is given far more leeway and free reign to get the best recruits year in and year out.

At the time Orgeron was hired there were 14 scholarship linemen on the team. Two of those were seniors and 4 high school players were committed. We now have 11 players on scholarship.

I know they aren't thin at qb. I don't think they are thin at any position to be honest.

As long as it doesn't turn into excuses for losing.

Remember, LSU has more talent than any team not named Alabama.

. I also think he would've avoided losing a starting lineman, even if that meant bending the rules (a la Cam Rob). This sort of thing is the "head coach" stuff Ogeron has not done before.

Other schools get the NCAA up their asses for this shite.

He was a two way player WR / S. he was raved about during the under armour AA week when they had an injury there. We have some inexperience and depth issues at WR and have better depth at S. this kid Is a stud and u don't keep him off the field. He's gonna make plays so if WR is the fastest way to get him on the field then u do it. However grant Delpit and Todd Harris are stud freshman and seem

"Young guys got to step up.”

This is the material point. Orgeron is putting pressure through the media on the young, talented O-linemen, to get them to focus and improve.

They will need to play sooner, rather than later and we expect more from them than we're getting, at the moment.

They need to rise to the occasion and meet expectations. We need them to immediately contribute.

Not if you actively follow the team.

CEH makes much more sense to me than typing out that long name.

Fact is he had ONE up year... 2003.

He lost at least 3 games in every other season. And that's when some of the seasons were still just 11 games (not 12 like now).

Did he change the program and expectations? Absolutely, and I'm thankful for that (I had 5 losing football seasons in school).
