There's 3 of us coming down to Louisiana from Halifax Canada. We're wondering where to park for the tailgate. Also what are good sports bars in the area to watch the game if we can't get tickets. Are the cops strict in the area after the game for being drunk in public? Any info will help.

Take Nicholson exit after you cross the Miss river, and you can find paid or free parking near the stadium. Walk Ons sports bar is in walking distance from the stadium if you can't find a ticket, and the cops are not strict...this is South Louisiana .
Hope you have a good time!

Drunk in public will be the norm from daylight Saturday until almost near daylight Sunday. Parking is a bitch. Get to campus early. You'll be able to watch the game at a few thousand tailgate sets if you don't get tickets. Have a great trip.

Flatscreen satellite setups are the norm, all will welcome you in, eh

What they said sports bars, Walk On's your best bet with tons of TV's

Chimes an iconic LSU bar but will be near impossible to get a table and much less TV's

Welcome to South Louisiana!

Awesome! Hope you can get tickets. The people selling tickets will hold them in the air. You need to hold fingers in the air so they know you're looking (like a tall peace sign).

You're welcome to my tailgate. Text me 225-317-6501

Wear some Canadian shite too. Do your best to stick out like a sore thumb and you'll eat and drink for free. Use "eh" a lot....really emphasise out of the country. Bring Canadian beer like sleemans or kokanee in a rolling ice chest. You will have things to barter and trade. Then when you leave just give someone the ice chest, its sacrificial.

I have been to Nova Scotia and Halifax on four occasions and really love it. You are more than welcomed to join our tailgate as well. Text or call me Saturday at 504-628-4482. We will be getting into BR around 8:30 and starting with bloodies. We are doing short ribs and garlic mashed potatoes.

I went up to the Patriots Saints game last year, there were plenty of Canadians there in Saints gear and a few with purple & gold too. There's a decent amount of support for both teams up there, I was surprised in talking to them.

Hope the OP will remember how much fun he had.

We have hosted a group from Halifax at our tailgate a few times..Great guys. The Posters name is Halifax. You need to look him up.

He would be happy to let you know of this little thing we have down here called "Fire Ants". He got a quick introduction after the Florida game a few years back.

Anywhere on Nicholson should be open for you to park.
