Your more likely to get a ticket if your not drunk in public. You could literally walk up to a state trooper drinking straight from a fifth of wild turkey and nothing will be said to you.

You can drink all you want while walking around, just no glass containers & that is enforced. Stop off at any near by gas station type store & get a large coke cup or something similar & use it all day. As well, do not piss in public as the cops get ..pissy about that, too. You can sneak booze into the stadium but ask anyone you tailgate with what some of the best methods are. DO NOT ARGUE WITH COPS, just move on. Should be a great atmosphere for you.

You can park on Nicholson by the track stadium and all that, but all that will be taken Friday night. You can pay (20 bucks) to park further down Nicholson (towards the bridge) at people's businesses and what not.

Get there VERY early if you want a free parking space. See LSU Gameday Map.

I am furious that I will not be down there this weekend. I actually almost booked a last minute flight to make it happen! It is going to be electric. First time in three years I have missed the Bama game.
To the folks going from Halifax - you are in for the time of your life. LSU is the best. And that is fact. Search my handle and look at the early threads. There is lots of great advice in there. I'd be happy to talk to you on the telephone if we can connect.
