Want to make the drive tomorrow from BR to Omaha. Anybody know of hotels maybe outside the prime area that has super low rates or anyone have luck in the past with cheap rates? Its two college students trying to stay a few days so it can't be too much.

I'm sure some will recommend Google, I have done so but not with much luck... so I'm coming to y'all. Thanks guys!

You're in college. Just go. Things will work themselves out and you'll find somewhere to stay. You and your buddy will have a story for life. Just go.

Find a man near downtown driving in an unmarked white van. Ask if he has "free puppies." His name is Horace. Tell him johnnie's cousin Pete-sy says you're his boy. Give him a $50.

I'm in the downtown Omaha Inn for $96 per night and that includes tax. It's shitty but whatever, all I do is shite, shower, and sleep

In that order

Get 4 of you and hop in a car and go. The driving won't be bad split 4 ways and no hotel will be expensive split 4 ways. I bet you wouldn't regret it.

I went while I was still in college in 2009. Best trip of my life. Don't regret it. Went with two others and split the cost. My buddy had a Ford Focus so gas wasn't terrible. The room was the biggest expense, but I'll tell you it's worth it. We stayed for 2-3 nights and was able to watch 2 lsu games. Just go. Use a credit card if you have to. Just don't be stupid with it. You'll look back on this and be glad you went.

There are several Motel 6's listed for $86 a night over the next several nights. One for $76.

You have to stay out a little. Lots of cheap hotels in Council Bluffs. With all the youth tournaments going on you might have to go as far as Lincoln!

Drive to Omaha, go out, one of you needs to hook up with a fugly, and problem is solved.

**Back-up plan is a 24hr fitness. $10/day fee, workout/steam/shower and get your arse right back out there. If it has an indoor pool, you find a lounge chair and catch a few hours of rack time.

There are some more economical hotels in Bellevue (suburb to the south). Look at the Microtel or Holiday Inn Express. I would NOT stay in the hotels on Fort Crook Rd, stay on Hwy 370 (near the Microtel, there's also a Hampton and an extended stay of some sort), or the Holiday Inn is by Walmart on about 15th ST. Both are close to Hwy 75 to get to Omaha, it would be a 15 min drive to downtown Omaha (if you don't get in the middle of the rush).
Another thought would be the Comfort Inn by the zoo, near where Rosenblatt used to be.
