They're all complicit. The SEC's motive for bias is primarily tied to TV contracts, and smart business says that when influence can produce desired outcomes for TV execs that it's smart to do it.
ESPN is as complicit as the other 2. They ultimately want Bama, so they use their influence with the league to get the to orchestre shite like this.
Bama wins because they have the best coach in the country, recruit the best players in the country, and coach them up better than any other team. There's no vast conspiracy.
Now, do the TV networks love Bama? Sure they do, but they love any team that puts eyeballs on the screen. And Bama puts eyeballs on the screen because they're dominant, not because of some massive dark conspiracy between the media, refs, and SEC office.
This all looks particularly embarrassing to us considering we haven't beaten them in 7 years. It just looks like whining and excuse-making.
