I just hate to think that we are hoping to be the 8th or 9th SEC team in the NCAA tournament. Sad.

Better than being the 1st or 2nd SEC team OUT of the NCAA tournament.

Who knows what will happen if we get there, we certainly have the talent to compete with anyone. Not a national title team, but a team who could make a run to the CWS given the right circumstances.

Yeah, but that's just SEC records. I mean, Georgia is freaking .500 overall. I think we have a more impressive resume than them and think there just 4 SEC teams better than us. The next 6 teams are all jammed up.

Agreed of course, but still sad for a program like LSU's.

Agreed. We shall see. We are 3 of 24 in our last 8 road series. Need to turn that around now.

Well yeah that a whole other story entirely. Hoping to get into the SEC or NCAA Tournament is completely unacceptable.

I love Regional play far too much to be left out. LSU won't let me down.

+1. Damn, I have seen some good post season games at the old and new Box. On the road, not so good.

LSU just has to get in. No one wants LSU in their regional.

Yes.. I know that's what we said last season but I truly believe that this time.

Our pitching was too much of a question mark to really make a run in LA.

Gausman and McCune can shut down anybody if they're on.

I agree, but the NCAA may feel the same way!

I'm so emotionally invested in this team. I'd be heartbroken if we don't make the postseason. But we will. Our numbers are just too good to be ignored. Plus we swept the committee's lover boy, CSF. That should count for something.

I too invest a lot of time and emotion into LSU baseball. I will not go into details as to the level of my enthusiasm, but suffice it to say that I absolutely love baseball season. However, as a defense mechanism I detached emotionally back in April when it became apparent to me that the team was lacking in several areas and was unlikely to make the post season. This is the first year since 1996 that I don't have hotel reservations in Omaha.

SLU wouldn't win a single series playing in the SEC. The point is moot.

I know. I miss the good old days when our biggest postseason question at this time was who are they going to send to our regional.

No LSU, but Southeastern has an at-large bid as the only team making it in from Louisiana(Southland never gets at-large bids)... Man, there are so many differnt projections aout there... I guess this one expects LSU to lose 2 out of 3 to State. Regional Projections

Obviously I want LSU to make the SEC and NCAA tournaments... but I would love to see a team like SLU make it. I would cheer just as hard for them as I would LSU. Can't say that I'm an SLU fan, but it would be fun to watch them in the post-season.

Look, I am an LSU fan, but I also root for other Louisiana Universities success as well. I've been a LSU fan since I can remember. Southeastern is my Alumni.

Trust me when I say we're not worried and never will be about Southeastern in any sport.

This attitude is part off the reason why the LSU-Tulane rivalry has been killed. Yes, Tulane leaving the SEC is the main reason, but LSU and it's fans have not helped the cause.

What the hell does that mean? Did some LSU fans 'tigerbait' the poor itty bitty Wave fans and were bei ng mean-spirited? Give me a fricking break. This is football not the damn opera.
And I guess of course the Tulane fans have been sweet little angelic little lord fauntleroys? Some of the things I've had yelled at me or heard yelled at others by Tulane 'fans' would make a Navy Seal blush.

what point? And since you brought it up, SLU most def would win an SEC series. Just last year, they swept MSU @ MSU. Their baseball team would be bottom tear, but still would beat teams like Tennessee and Kentucky for sure.

you don't get it; what you discribe is the rivalry. What's not the rivalry is LSU and LSU fans alike acting like other universities are beneath them. Well, this is obvious in football, but I'm including all sports.

If SU win the SWAC I think they have a chance of beating Rice.
