No, actually he sad he had picked LSU but now he was "taking the game off the board" until he could get a better feel. Colin has been a big LSU supporter for a while now.
yeah that was what he said

hey, if the ducks get beat, ill take ya up on that offer LOL

Dumb argument by cowterd, if either team loses they should be out.
If you can't beat a Pac 10 team, but you go undeafeated against the SEC, that obv. means Oregon > any SEC team

This is the most intelligible analysis I've ever heard from this douche.

LSU didn't crush a few of those teams. UNC almost beat us, it took a last minute touchdown pass from JR to Doucet to beat ASU...we won't even talk about Oregon St because it's excruciating to conjure up the memory.
And since when has Lee ever managed a game. That's the exact opposite of what Lee does. He either wins it or he losses it with his arm.

Thanks for the transcription. There are times I think Cowherd's a jerk but he flat-out says that he's sometimes trying to provoke his audience.

I pretty much expect the same thing. I was at the NCG game, and I can attest to the fact that the AU players were simply bigger. When you see them flying around the field, too; you then begin to understand why the SEC has been dominant.
I believe Oregon wins this game going away last year. LSU finished like 44th in run defense last year. OR had seniors everywhere. OR would have won going away.
Tomorrow is completely different. While OR still has the same guys in the skill positions, they lost a lot on both lines.
I really only see OR winning tomorrow in 2 scenarios:
1. Somehow LSU mentally breaks down on the zone read and big plays are routinely sprung (this is how OR wins most games).
2. Kelly has implemented some new wrinkles that LSU is not ready for and they succeed in executing enough to outscore a rather poor LSU offense.
Oregon wins by a small margin due to being just good enough on the O end while being great on D / having Lee fail.
This seems less likely. It seems more likely to me that LSU's Defense succeeds in slowing down the Ducks enough to outscore them with physical running and enough throws to keep the run game open.
I am a Duck fanatic. I want them to win as much as any other fanatic. But, the logical and non-bias football fan in me understands that great defenses have been the achilles heal of Oregon's great offense.
Until Oregon disproves this notion in a big time game, my real money would be on the opposition.
Hopefully Oregon can prove me wrong.

Finally, a Duck fan who "gets it"!

Normally Cowherd is a PAC whatever west coast homer, plus he's got roots up in Washington and Oregon. I was surprised to see an unbiased assessment from him of all people.

When it was first announced that JJ was out for this game, Colin went on to say (and I am doing my best at quoting him)..."I had officially picked LSU for this game, but I am now OFFICIALLY changing my pick to Oregon."
Wrong. He said he was taking that pick of his books.

I do believe the players are bigger but against auburn we are not going to see that same oregon team...They are faster than what we saw in the ncg. I still think we win but its going to be close and on pin and needles.

LSU was crushing UNC for the whole game. The only reason they came back was because Chavis was playing 2nd and 3rd stringers during the second half of the game, arguably against the best QB we faced all year. The offense also went conservative the second half as well because Les doesn't like to blow teams out. Overall though LSU dominated the game until late. Also if Ridley wouldn't have fumbled in the 4th qt, UNC would have not made that last goal line push.

Colin Cowherd isn't a supporter of any team. He says he is and he'll make outrageous statements to make it seem that he is, but he's not. His original job was journalism. Now his job is ratings. 2 mutually independent goals.

They crushed them for 3 quarters (30-10), but the wheels fell off in the 4th

Cowher is nowhere near a PAC homer. In fact, he sucks more SEC junk than anyone in the media. Can't say I blame him, I'm just making a point.
