From a Duck fanatic, God bless you and your family. LSU can win for that matter - to honor your daughter. Truly could not I imagine. Stay strong. Cliche as it sounds, she is in an unimaginably wonderful place.

Nah. Oregon's D coordinator does everything possible to shut down the run. Lee will have to throw and throw successfully. And, I believe he can.
OR will stack 8 to 9 in the box. They will disguise blitzes and blitz often. They will play every D body they have all game to keep the players fresh.
He defends the run almost to a fault.
This is not to say that they will not eventually be worn down. LSU could definitely have a good running day when its all said and done.
My point is simply that OR will play run almost every down.

The guy on there is a replacement for the normal staff.
Also, with all due respect, I have seen as much, if not more, homerism on here.
An honest Duck fan, and or a true football enthusiast, will tell you that they are very nervous about this game. And, that they fear another shut down of the Oregon Offense due to playing a physical defense.
This game is a coin flip for me. However, if I was betting real money I would take LSU.
My expectations for OR this year would be surpassed if they simply made it to the Pac12 championship game. If they won and got to the Rose Bowl I would be ecstatic.
A close loss to a team like LSU will be okay by me simply because it will teach our young linemen and other players what to expect before conference play begins.

I pretty much expect the same thing. I was at the NCG game, and I can attest to the fact that the AU players were simply bigger. When you see them flying around the field, too; you then begin to understand why the SEC has been dominant.
I believe Oregon wins this game going away last year. LSU finished like 44th in run defense last year. OR had seniors everywhere. OR would have won going away.
Tomorrow is completely different. While OR still has the same guys in the skill positions, they lost a lot on both lines.
I really only see OR winning tomorrow in 2 scenarios:
1. Somehow LSU mentally breaks down on the zone read and big plays are routinely sprung (this is how OR wins most games).
2. Kelly has implemented some new wrinkles that LSU is not ready for and they succeed in executing enough to outscore a rather poor LSU offense.
Oregon wins by a small margin due to being just good enough on the O end while being great on D / having Lee fail.
This seems less likely. It seems more likely to me that LSU's Defense succeeds in slowing down the Ducks enough to outscore them with physical running and enough throws to keep the run game open.
I am a Duck fanatic. I want them to win as much as any other fanatic. But, the logical and non-bias football fan in me understands that great defenses have been the achilles heal of Oregon's great offense.
Until Oregon disproves this notion in a big time game, my real money would be on the opposition.
Hopefully Oregon can prove me wrong.

re: Darron Thomas: "Bigger than the National Championship" - wtf?

Is this your first year following college football? There is exactly ZERO chance mathematically or from a human poll perspective that ANY 1 loss team gets in over an undefeated OR and OK. They are 1 and 3 in the polls now!
Do they teach math and common sense at LSU? I bet they do. Must be another Tulane grad.

Lmao - um pretty much no way? I can count MANY ways. For starters, OR and OK undefeated = NCG.
Man the Homerism is literally off the charts on these forums. I hav followed numerous sporting teams on numerous forums and never have I seen such blind, invalid confidence and Homerism anywhere!
Congratulations on having the most Homeristic board on the planet.

Kelly has been coy and quiet on Huff. He missed most of camp. He has only played in pads a few times, if memory serves. I honestly do not think he will play. But, I wont be surprised if he does.

Noticing this same post on here way too much...
But, the fact is, the Pac 12 Blogger on ESPN even believes LSU will win.
I am not buying the whole LSU is distracted or missing their starting QB BS. I am not sure why Jefferson even started, from what I hear he sucks and would not start on ANY pac 12 team. Except maybe as punter or kicker.
Zing!
This game is a toss up. LSU has every chance to win it as Oregon does. It will come down to whether or not Oregon has some new offensive schemes to counter LSU's strong and fast D.

Darron definitely runs less than Masoli and Dixon. This is by design. One, he is not as fast as the the other two former QBs. Two, less chance of an injury.
However, its all about how your Defense chooses to play the read option. Your Defense could key only on James and force Darron to run.
Consider yourself educated.

Oh, what Portland is known for is 2 things.
1. Micro Brew capital of the world
2. Strip Bar capital of the USA
Strip bars are full nude and serve all alcohol. For those that are 18, there are strip clubs that are full nude just no alcohol.

For the record, Oregon and WA boast the best salmon in the world. It is only caught here. It is unlike any other salmon you've eaten. If you were to buy it around your town it would likely sell for upwards of $29.00 per lb!

Pfft! Hell yeah Darron Thomas was high. Hell yeah he was smoking with Cliff that time and I am sure with Masoli during the other cop pull-over.
I am not naive. A very large percentage of young athletes smoke dope. Its why the NBA very rarely even UA's for it. If they did, they would be missing 1/2 the damn league.
I do not have any issue with kids smoking dope. So long as they are not endangering others. And, yes, driving 118 per hour is endangering others.
And, for the record, as I see it mentioned here all the time, dope is NOT legal in Oregon. It is simply a misdemeanor charge for anything less than 1 oz. Above 1 oz and you can be considered a dealer.
Oregon does have medical marijuana. And, I have heard its simple to get a card / be approved for it. Oregon also has assisted suicide.

For the record, I have spent time in LA. Heck, I have been to Mardi Gras. I had a wonderful time. And, I met a lot of very nice people, who turned out to be locals. I am just messing back with people, too.
For that matter, most fans on here are super cool. Heck, it isnt like LSU and Oregon have any rivalry going. We have no reason to dislike you guys, and as far as I know, vice versa.
Lets get the damn game on!

LMFAO. Do you really think that the bar employees and owners are UNBIASED? Unbiased to the football team? You mean the same team that provides them far more business than any other demographic?
Oh, and I find it so hilarious that they can one hundred percent verify the FIRST punch was thrown by the Marine but cannot attest if any football players, specifically Jefferson, was involved.
Yeah, sounds so legit.... if you're viewing this crap through purple and yellow glasses.

I am not sure how the term smelly hippy is supposed to be applied. Should I call you a dumb southerner who sleeps with their kin and rarely brushes their tooth? Do I assume your dirty recliner chair has a toilet built into it so you dont miss any of the left turns from Neck-Car racing? Should I assume you're either a criminal or on welfare?
For the record, I am not a hippy. Even when I attended UofO, many years ago, I was not liberal. Still not liberal. As I am sure you have more than a tooth in your mouth.
Probably 2.

Was OJ convicted? Was Casey Anthony convicted?
Unfortunately, a conviction in our justice system is not a great barometer of guilt.
I suppose LSU suspended the two because they feel they are innocent?
Its like playing cards with my brother's kids around here.

I heard the interview. It was someone with the last name Hawthorne. And his name was said correctly the whole time. Seems like a real nice guy.
Quite surprised he picked Oregon to win though.

I made my point. I was merely having fun. Someone mentioned the 118 mile per hour cheech and chong fest so I of course brought up the head punts.
And, for the record, what I said is indeed the truth. Arent both Jefferson and Johns arrested for punting one of the kids in the head? Does that not mean more than one who took turns kicking a kid while down? Not to mention we do not even know who was all in on the beating of the kid with the broken neck. I have even heard speculation it was Ware.
