On the other hand toderick Stevenson, (our team mate) would have been a great contrabution.
I graduated from walker too. Played football with all those guys. No hating on Todd but have you seen the numbers he's putting up at SU. I don't think were missing out on much

Well compared to reine I think Tod is much better.... He is like Leon landry not outstanding swinging a bat but a bad arse outfielder... Also, you have to think about the difference between the coaching at the two schools
ETA: I don't think LSU is missing out, I just said he'd be a good contrabution (I mean if LL can leave the bases loaded stranded TWICE agains mcneese)

The last time I saw Todrick (14) he was quite small but an above player and to answer a question I have done a little coaching of baseball through the years. I had some relatives that lived close to the Reines Grand Parents

Toderick got pretty big... He's a lot bigger than Chris Hawkins (a little shorter, 5'11"-6'2")

What does the outfield situation have to do with JT Wise?
Pretty sure the outfield comment was concerning the Reine situation, but I was also a little confused when I first read it.

Toddrick might be 5'9. He shouldn't be at Southern though. Definitely a D-1 prospect. But at LSU he wouldn't sniff the field. Our outfield has been stacked the last 3 years.

Yeah I'm not a jock rider so I'm not gonna sit here and say lsu needs Tod but I think with lsu coaching he's chances of playing MLB ball greatly increases... Reguardless of his playing time at lsu

Reine would not start at SELU. WE have a damn good outfield. Maybe DH. We will give LSU all they can handle. Not an SELU flamer I'm all lsu when there not playing selu.

I played ball with him at walker. & I honestly think he's a better football player than baseball but that's my opinion

& I'm talking about toddrick not Cody

Oh definately dude.. I played with him too and I actually thought was slightly better than Chris Hawkins.. Hawkins got the ball a lot more because that was gay-Rans baby

this is the most rediculous thing I've ever read.

He was just a better OVERALL player. He changed the game. And the offensive line C Hawk had was 5x better than the one Todd had to play with. We've just gone downhill after '05 in football. As far as overall talent.

To all the LP people who worship this kid and said we were stupid for letting him go. You claimed he was a starter at OU this year. He has barely seen the field in mop up duty with only 2 AB through 4 games. Yet he would be our best hitter this year according to some on here.
Please explain.
Here is the Cody Reine "how is LSU baseball ever going to survive without this kid" update, since I am in a shite-stirring mood.
The Sooners are 22-6. Reine, the so-called second-coming from Walker, is batting 2-11 for the year, a .182 average. One of his hits was a HR, and the other a double. He has appeared in 11 of the 28 games, garnering 1 start. Manieri, you really missed out.

The roster necessitated cuts.
At least Reine was able to get another opportunity at a good program like OU and at least Maineri did not put any restrictions on the kid either
Best of luck to him, if he does not start this year, hopefully he can make an impact next year.
Every major program got slammed with this rule, there was no implementation period.
If anything the JCs are the ones that benefitted and these kids had better opportunities to get drafted and go pro

He was a good player and his dad decided to get him with Leo Mclure who is a great coach but a slime ball as a person. If you spend the money that his dad spent to get his son to become a great prospect you expect more
most of the kids that play on these teams spend all that money too. that doesn't make them college players.

Who was the guy that played at Long Beach St. with Jared Weaver's brother? He was a freshman at LSU and then transferred to the Dirt Bags.
Posted on 4/6/10 at 4:57 pm to Weaver
Jason Vargas
made it to the bigs
