It would take a 6-5 or worse record in 2010 for his seat to warm up.

I think he has 2 more years no matter what IMO. He has another coaching change. To much to buy him out. I would hate to be in his shoes that second year ,though.

Why?

Miles is going no where in the next two years that he doesn't want to go "unless something crazy-bad happens".

You can't estimate the heat on a coach based off the rantings of a few on a message forum or phone calls to a radio station. Show me one comment from LSU or the powers that be that back up the "hot seat" or he's history if so and so doesn't happen BS.

Now, after this season is in the books and if there in no improvement on the O side or results in the West are not favorable, we talking a different story for 11. imo

He better be history. We are paying Miles $4 million, 8-5 and 9-4 seaons just don't cut it when you're getting paid that much, much less 6-6.

You just sit back and watch what happens if Miles has another "average" year in SEC play.

If the O comes up to at least par we wont have to worry about it. The Def will be better. If it doesnt then GC will be on the block before LM.

Average is in the eye of the beholder and to me it would 3rd in the west or 5th or 6th in the SEC.

I will watch as you suggest and I will be surprised if anything happens concerning Miles employment at LSU that he doesn't want to happen.

miles goes 6 and 6 he might be gone...I think he has two years at the most to get back to an SEC title...but I do believe if Michigan fires Rich Rod...Miles will go this time...espectially if he feels heat...

I really like Miles's attitude,BUT he has way too many bone head play calls, or allows too many, to be in the caliber of play he is in.

Urban Meyer is also on the list.

There is no way Urban is in the Hot Seat, And if so, LSU should get him and get rid of Miles

Do you read the articles or just pretend to read them, because Urban Meyer was definitely on the list.

Urban Meyer, Florida
Being on the hot seat isn’t just about the idea of being fired, Meyer will never get canned, it’s also about the pressure a coach is under. For Meyer, who has two national titles under his belt and three 13-1 seasons in the last four, it’s national-title-or-bust from here on considering the talent level he has amassed. The expectations aren’t unrealistic, but they’re impossibly unfair (even for Florida).
Status: Throw the health issues into the equation and no coach in America has the combination of things Meyer has to deal with.

This should destroy any credibility this sports writer has.

And he lead the team to the biggest paying bowl not in the BCS. That is what the powers that be consider. He is not on the hot seat.

6-5

are we not counting one of the games?

I predict that if LSU goes 6-6, Miles will not have a hot seat, because he will be GONE, so fast we will have aN acting head coach for the Independence Bowl.
