Coach Will Wade: A Year in Review

It's been a year since Will Wade agreed to lead our basketball program. And I know last night sucked, but let's take a look back at the last 365 days, shall we...
March 20, 2017: Will Wade Introductory Press Conference
June 5, 2017: Will Wade lands 4-star PG Tremont Waters
August 19, 2017: Bigby-Williams transfers to LSU from Oregon
November 8, 2017: Wade signs 5-star PG Ja'Vonte Smart and 4-star F Darius Days
November 10, 2017: Wade secures first victory as HC of the Tigers
November 13, 2017: Wade signs 5-star F Naz Reid
November 21, 2017: Wade and the Tigers beat Michigan in Maui for their best win of the season
December 28, 2017: Coach Wade gets career win #100 as LSU beats Memphis
January 3, 2018: Will Wade debuts the luxurious purple sport coat for the first time
January 6-9, 2018: Wade and the Tigers stun A&M and Arkansas on the road
January 26, 2018: Wade lands commitment from 5-star PF Emmitt Williams; resulting in #3 recruiting class in the country
February 26, 2018: Coach Wade refutes story questioning his recruiting tactics
March 3, 2018: Wade and company beat State on Senior Day to finish the season 17-13 (8-10)
March 14, 2018: The Tigers defeat ULL in Round 1 of the NIT; Coach Wade FLAMES Bob Marlin for his pregame comments
As shitty as last night was, it was almost expected with all the injuries/sicknesses we had. I couldn't be more impressed with how Coach Wade turned things around in just 1 year on the job. The future of LSU Basketball is BRIGHT, brothers. I can't wait to see where the Wade Train takes us!

yea, they were sharp AF. I watched that Michigan game video like 3 times the other day. it was such a great feeling after winning that game. hoping we get a lot of that next season.

Coach Wade has done more for this program than Coach O did in his first full year in charge and I dare anyone to argue that.
Coach Wade is one of the best hires (on paper) in LSU sports history alongside Saban IMO. His work ethic has been on display day in and day out. He is building a culture based on accountability and not individuality like we saw during the Johnny Jones era. With his energy and passion, he will not let players dick off and be selfish. I love it.
I fricking love Coach Wade and he will make our basketball program a winner again. If he can win and beat expectations by a country mile with some of the bad overall talent that we had this year, which is arguably worse than last year's talent, he will definitely be able to win with the talent the staff has signed.
In game energy and decision making has been incredible. You could hear his passion from the rafters every fricking game whether we played BRCC or Michigan. He has this program heading for greatness. Anyone who disagrees just doesn't really understand.

It definitely had its ups and downs but it came out to a fun season. Now I have to wait 7 freakin months.

Seems like a few days ago i was hauling arse home from Shreveport on a Friday trying to get back in time for the Alcorn State game. Last night sucked but i had FUN watching this team. Honestly haven’t had that much fun since the 08-09 team. We’re on our way baws.

I hope LSU can keep Wade as long as Dale Brown was here. It will take the administration & fan support stepping up big because if he’s successful as some think he will be, there will big some big name schools coming after him.

Next years team is going to be scary good. Could go down as one of the best teams in LSU history with all the talent Wade is bringing in coupled with his coaching skill set. I think i'll be buying season tickets for next season

And yet teemike there are only 2 schools in the nation (ucla & unc) that could hang with LSU'S all time team. Wade doesn't have to go ANYWHERE to get top flight players.
