re: Coach O The Bachelor

Let’s get something straight..

O brought all of this upon himself and O has the power to make it all go away. He is a big boy. When you are the highest paid state employee and the head coach of the state football team, your personal life tends to become public. He knew that going in.. and still made the decisions he’s made.

I’m not a fan of O. I think he is a car salesman. In my opinion, he does not have the capacity to be a head coach in this conference. That’s been proven. So proven, that his campaign promise was to hire top level coordinators. Which he has not done. Instead, he has hired his friends and Canada. He did however, hire a young offensive mind that gelled really well with a back up QB from Ohio State. Giving us the greatest season in the history of college football!

That was lucky. He didn’t know either of those guys would become what they became. Downvote all day, it’s self-relevant truth.

Here is where we stand: We have a seemingly distracted head coach with a longer track record of mediocrity than success. A coach that was meant to be propped up by his coordinators, who can’t seem navigate modern football. On top of this, we handed O an extended contract without making him prove his success without Brady. And let him hire even more friends to bloated contracts, who don’t elevate players, but instead confuse them.

Coach O is an A+ recruiter and a C- coach. That’s great if you’re trying to put lots of underdeveloped juniors in the NFL. Been there, done that. And now, we have to watch his personal life unfold while he handcuffs this program with his boys.

The Bachelor is a perfect title for this season.

Based on the Coach O press conference, I think I could run the defense we are about to run.

Sounds like the defense we used to run in that back yards of Crowley. “You get the kid in the red shirt, you get the kid with glasses, I’ll get the kid with holes in his shirt.. you cover deep and you guys rush.. ready break.”

That’s D-1 ready, right?

Which will either make Bo look like a genius or a fool. A genius because our athletes will out athlete their athletes. Or a fool when they start running shallow and mid crossing routes and carve up our D like the exuberant Michael Leach.
