Saban moves on from Lane Kiffin and doesn't miss a beat on offense.

That is because he knows that as the head coach, he sets the tone for the ENTIRE program and everything flows down from him. His philosophy dominates everything and the attention to detail is felt on all three phases of the game.

Meanwhile, LSU hired a guy with zero ability outside of "I can hire da best guys!", thereby leaving himself and the program at the mercy and whim of coordinators.

I thought Ensminger did that frequently.
It's mid week and he's working on the game plan? I hope it was just tweaking an already well thought out plan for the game.

Sometimes it seems like it's "fly by the seat of your pants" in the Football Ops building (or their temporary quarters during renovation).

Execution is great if you can beat the guy across from you if he executes too.

If your outmatched maybe try and out think them.

Sleeping in the office.....I hope he found something in their defense to exploit and that we can actually see his gameplan unfold with the way the game is called.

I thought his gameplan and play-calls for A&M in 2016 was fantastic. Want to see the gameplan show up in execution though.

Speaking of this, did anybody else see that bama all access thing on espn where Saban chewed his asst coaches for wasting 4 minutes of practice. That was a glimpse into what makes saban the goat.

^ this. I take it only as a positive. Doesn't necessarily mean he's not prepared or anything else like that. I mean it COULD mean that.. or it means he's just really trying to give his best and come up with some things that the team can do to have success at Auburn on Saturday. Either way, I'll withhold judgement until after the game.

I mean it's kind of weak to put it out there though.

Saban and Kirby aren't out there putting out there how many late nights they put in at the office, but does anyone doubt that they do? If you're working hard you're working hard. You don't need to inform everyone that you're working hard. Just let the results on the field speak for themselves.

O's the type that wants to let you know how hard he and his staff are working, probably to gain a favorable perception as is his M.O., whereas others work just as hard or harder and never mention it.

Maybe IF he had actually been an OC over the past 20 years, he would have actual experience gameplanning and wouldn’t have to cram like a college freshman who has a test coming up and didn’t go to class.

My question is, what the hell were they doing for the other games?

The workload increases because they're a going up against a better team? Doesn't make sense.

Why doesn't he just call plays from the secret playbook and go home at the end of the day? After all, we were holding back our offense on purpose....

Greetings fellow OTers! Been been checking out the boards here & decided to join the weird & wonderfully demented world of TD. I'm a white conservative woman, lifelong Tiger fan. Proud American & gun owner. Just wanted to say everybody here is either crazy as a loon or heavily medicated or not medicated enough! Sounds about right ?? And no, no pics, sorry guys

Dave, I wouldn’t worry about this alter.
