Herron's status is strange to say the least.

He's had issues since he arrived on campus, most notably with suspensions and the bike theft fiasco

I have a feeling Dee won't see another snap at LSU

Same. He and Frank can't seem to get out of their own way.

Good to see Key is back with limited contact. I trust that they won't rush him back. It would be great to have him at full strength for Mississippi State.

Kickoff team came dangerously close to having a couple of big returns on them. I hope this gets fixed because it will come back to bite us on the arse real soon.

While I agree with you. it got better during the game. The kick coverage in the second half was much better than in the first half.

That was honestly my biggest negative takeaway from the game. Definitely a concern...

Our special teams suck!!! Every time we have to punt or kickoff ,I hold my breath!Byu was just short of taking it to the house twice!

They hired the saints special teams coach. The Saints sucked on ST for years under his lead

From my personal observations the past month Gamble had the best kickoffs overall. High hangtime and all drop around the goal line giving the coverage time to get down there and make the other team have a decision on whether to run out or take a knee. He just needs to kick it to the center to avoid kicking it out of bounds like we did too often last year. I was honestly surprised to see Culp beat him out. Again just based on my observations and maybe Gamble pissed the staff off. I don't care who plays but I don't understand why we can't just kick the shite out of it and remove any risk of a return.

Gamble has to have the NCAA record for delays of game on kickoffs.

I watched Gamble and #34 practice kick offs for several minutes before the game. Gamble's kicks were always short of the goal line. #34 consistently boomed his kick offs into the end zone. But it didn't translate to the actual game. Kinda like my golf shots on the practice range vs, the course.
