Three losses over a season is inconsistency. Three in a row, in November is a meltdown. Losing two more in September of the end the season is a pattern.
Evidently the decision makers at LSU also believe you're wrong.
Its still an opinion idiot.

Yes. I didn't say it was a majority viewpoint.

It's still an opinion, idiot.
It's always smart to use proper grammar when calling someone an idiot.

This talking point really needs to die.

The reason why Saban gets forgiven for those loses is that he turned around and either won the SEC or the Weat the next year and won NCs.
Also it’s still stupid to compare 2000 LSU and 2017 LSU

So does Troy.

The whole “he lost to Troy” talking point is just as stupid. The 2017 season has nothing to do with the current trajectory.

I mean If you’re arguing that we’re on an upward trajectory doesn’t setting the bar so low in year 1 play into that?
How can you judge “trajectory” off of 1 season?

The bar setting argument is another dumb talking point. Does anyone think that anyone associated with LSU accepts losses to teams like Troy? No bar was lowered. I’ve seen LSU lose to Miami of Ohio, UAB, Kentucky (when U.K. was horrid), Troy, and other bad losses. None of those losses were acceptable. WTF does it have to do with today though?

Fact: The Troy loss in 2017 has more to do with the current trajectory than the fact that Saban lost to UAB and ULM.

the Fact that we’re jizzing our pants over 10-3 has more to do with the bar setting.
But there are some people who will argue O has had 2 good years.
The Troy loss is significant in that it speaks to a major disfunction last year which looks more or less resolved. But it also lowered expectation coming into this season.
Losing to Troy has a lot to do with why we were picked to go 6-6 7-5.

Neither are relavent. Fact.

Well, I don’t jizz my pants over any football team or coach. I also haven’t posted anything remotely close to “crushing it”. I don’t have a dog in that fight.
I think most people are sensing an upward trend, which should be encouraging to anyone that considers themselves to be LSU fans.

Negative. You can't say that the Troy loss is completely irrelevant. It may not be significant, but it's not completely irrelevant.

There’s no denying we took a step forward this year.
But I also Think we took a step back last year.
So where are we?
Like I said, I think This year was a return to normal for LSU. I want To see us punch through the ceiling.

LSU underachieved in 2017. That offense was talented and experienced enough to perform much better than it did.
In 2018, I believe we got just about all you can out of an experienced group that was lacking playmakers at the skill positions. I also believe LSU was extremely fortunate to draw UCF as its bowl opponent. I think a P5 team worthy of the Fiesta Bowl would’ve beaten LSU, particularly with its depleted secondary.
2019 brings promise. LSU finally has an experienced QB with at least a moderate skillset. The WRs and OL will also be experienced. We’ll too have playmakers at RB. This should be a fun season.
