Miles decided who got offers and who got in
Because being an ex OL coach, Miles just hated signing OL talent, and had no recent OL in NFL?
It seems this drought began with Ed's arrival, and the inherited 2016 offense was "record setting", correct?.

No! Optimism! We are expecting great things from the Great Oz.
We believe!

That's just your bias.

Who was responsible for the 2018 class?

which is basically what the program has been at since saban’s recruits left the program.

He’s definitely got some momentum, but he needs to snag another OT and DT in recruiting to shore up the depth in the trenches.

Anyone who mutters that saban averaged 3 clearly doesnt understand the differences in where the programs were

As it stands now with no changes I think LSU will go 10-2.

What's the other loss you see?

Honestly Bama shouldn't even be conceded. They've had a massive player and coach exodus. This is the year to beat them. 10-2 would not be progress considering where our team is and where the rest of the SEC is.

he lost three games in his 5th year. Does he get a pass because of the shape of the program in 2000? He had signed several top 5 classes by then. Anyone who dismisses anything negative about Saban is quite simply dishonest.

I told you I'm expecting playoffs, as you have said as well. You and others have swayed my thinking

Let me get this straight, I'm negative now for saying 10-2 wouldn't be progress? You realize we're not getting in the playoffs with 2 losses, right?

Correct.

Maybe you just don't understand what the word means.

to 10 wins should be the standard at LSU considering the talent - top 7 recruiting should be a given because of the talent the state produces yearly O is maintaining right now imo, I want to see the next step. The true test will come when he has to hire an OC/DC and getting over the Alabama hump into the national picture. Right now there is nothing to complain about, just the status quo for the past several years.

It is a myth that any of this is a given at LSU. Just take a look at our football history. Most of it is mediocre with the exception of a few nice stretches.

Coach O has done a good job so far. Not terrific, but pretty good. We do seem to be trending upward.

So you said yourself you expect a playoff run but you think 10-2 would be progress?

I mean it isn't like LSU was coming off a great run when Saban took over

Again, outside of the 90's LSU have proven itself to be a great program

Absolutely

As would anyone else.

LMFAO this is just so wrong I can't begin to respond. Orgeron gutted the OL because he knew it was the first place that needed a huge change. He gutted it and has tried to change it since. It may not happen next year but the year after that our OL will be fixed. If some guys develop fast it could be as soon as next year.

People just don't understand that it's not only the OL. It's the TEs, WRs, QB, RBs all working in unison. That will be much more effective in 2018 since we have lots of returning players with depth players coming behind them.

The 2020 OL class will be one of the best pure OLman we've had here since Saban watch. We'll have true OTs, Centers, and Guards. We will also have balanced TEs. I think Parker is important but so was Turner. I think this team is in much better shape then people want to give credit for. I haven't seen this much returning players coming back since Saban or Miles first couple of seasons.
