The offense was freshened up enough to lure QB prospects again, something LSU has struggled mightily with.
I think it is widely known that LSU is committed to developing a bona fide passing game. What kid with sick skills wouldn't have LSU on their short list?

He wasn't on the hot seat until late November of that year

There's a difference between being "on the hot seat," and publicly being on the hot seat.

Miles entered 2015 without a good chunk of his goodwill, looked like he gained it back and then totally annihilated it in the end. He entered that season in a much less secure position than previous seasons, based on 2013-2014 seasons.

Just as O should enter this season.

In most cases, a firing doesn't come out of nowhere, it's a realization that two parties can't work out execution and expectations over time.

Is there any tangible evidence he was in trouble?

Seems most of the pressure came from Boosters on Alleva in November, after the Ole Miss game

Les miles was fired for lying about fixing his offense. I don't care who doesn't like it. He said he was going to address it then dug in his heels and didn't do a thing.

That coupled with losses to inferior teams that weren't competitive caused his demise

So it was actually the losses that did him in. Got it.

You guys do know that he had worse offenses than he had in 2015, right? It was the losses that were the key variables.

Why are you still arguing something that's so fricking stupid? Les is gone and he's not coming back. Get over it for fricks sake. He got fired for lying to his fricking bosses.

Because LSU was coming off of one subpar season following one of the better 3 year stretches in the programs history.

Stop asking stupid questions that you already know the answer to.

Winning 33 games in a 3 year stretch wasn't a problem.

As usual, your weak arse shite misses it's mark.

No one in their right mind is firing a coach for going 8-5 after seasons of 11, 13, 10 and 10 wins. If someone suggested that if it were Orgeron the hater comments would damn near crash the board and for good reason. It would be absurd.

I see. So no season should b judged on its own merit. They need to be taken in context over a 3-4 year span.

Taking notes here...

So you're saying 10 losses in 2.4 years got him fired.

However he was told to kick up the offense and didn't.

Its just a chicken and egg thing.
