What I asked is "do you think Miles is still the coach at LSU if he's still losing 3-4 games every year as long as the offense throwing for 4,000 yards and 40 TDs"?

Yes

I thought we were finding middle ground. There's no way Miles is still coach in that situation. He had to get to 12-13 wins and a New Year's Day bowl within his last 3 years to still be the coach. At minimum.

It was clear Miles was never going to get above 11 or so wins again, and he wasn't going to beat Saban. That's why we fired Miles.

If Miles was winning 12-13 games with the slowest most boring offense anyone had ever seen, he would still be here.

Who's standard is that?

Did that come from the AD?

Miles showed you cannot win with the slowest, most boring offense around. You have to be able to throw the forward pass.

No brother. All he had to do was become texas tech offensively and he'd still be the coach.

Become Texas Tech, go 9-3 every year and he was locked in for life.

It was because he bullshitted the Power Brokers, the boosters... his bosses.
Try telling your boss that ypu are making a major change 3 or 4 years in a row - and blow it off every year. How would that work out.

It wasn't the W's and L's. It was bullshitting the wrong guys.

It was generally accepted that LSU should be between 11-13 wins and competing for an SECC every season and the NC every 3-4 seasons. That was the standard. Not hitting that standard was why Miles was fired.

It's not about the offense. It's about winning. No one cares about offense if you are undefeated and beating top teams consistently. We perceive that offense is the problem because the defense is usually above average - far above average. It FEELS like we need an offense to win, because that's the most glaring and obvious problem. So people care about it.

No one would care about offense if we were successful.

Again you seem to think we should fire O right now with stuff in this very post... 3 loss this and 4 loss that...

Just admit you hate the man and hope he fails......

It's catch 22. You cannot win in the SEC with a passing game that's in the 100's.

Do you know why we lost three straight in 2015?

And if Miles was beating Saban and the W's were there, would boosters have cared? Granted, some are egotistical enough maybe, but winning would put butts in the seats, donations in the schools pockets, and Miles wouldn't have to bullshite.

Being happy with 1 dimensional less productive 2018 offense that led to 3 losses
Hating on the VASTLY more productive 2015 1 dimensional offense that led to 3 losses.

Blaming Miles for lack of offensive production.
Blaming tommy moffit for offensive production.

Saying lsu doesnt have a scheme problem.
Saying scheme only matter with less talent.
Then bashing the talent at lsu.

The qb hypocrisy in this thread.

Just the overall being fine with averging 3.5 losses and a shite offense under O.
Not being fine with it under miles.

You constantly bringing up the defenses we played under O then dismissing the defenses we played during the November under each coach.

Do i need to continue? Because i can.

If I continue to make my boss a lot of money, why would he or she care how it happens as long as it isn't illegal?

If he wins, no one cares about bullshite. If he wins they wouldn't have been asking questions even if he was running the triple option like Paul Johnson.

That's not the point though. Winning cures all. If Miles WAS winning with his offense, he would still be here. No one would care about the offense.

Stupider things have happened, and there are obviously people that would downplay Miles' victories because of his "bad offense," but I guarantee that if he would have gone to NC between 2014-2016, or beat Saban once or twice and won 11-13 games and maybe an SECC, he's still here regardless of the offense.

I love how the "Ohio State" fan who just started following LSU football in 2018 is telling us why Les Miles was fired in 2016.

Youre again using totals which slants toward HUNH teams.

200 yards on 30 pass attempts
is not better than
190 yards on 18 pass attempts

3 losses is 3 losses
