He surrounds himself with great coaches, great recruiters and old school knowledge (Robinson from USC). He's on a roll..... He's ours..... He loves LSU! Love that dude.

Lucky that he was available, but no luck involved in getting him here. That's just a hell of a recruiting job by Orgeron and Ensminger. Having Busch on staff was also a very fortunate turn of events.

LSU was the only top 15 school with a wide open qb race when Burrow was looking to transfer.

Burrow was a complete unknown. Yes, it worked out but don’t pretend that it was a slam dunk, talent based decision. Also, Burrow was looking to transfer. It’s not like O went up to OSU and stole him away.
Give credit to O for being able to reel him in but don’t pretend that O spotted a diamond in the rough and knew that Burrow had this type of ceiling.

I’m definitely in the Pro O camp, but there is definitely some luck involved with Burrow. Even O admits he didn’t know Burrow would be this good, that they were kind of desperate.
Like the other poster said, hiring Brady was the genius move.

Cole Tracy is the best example of this. Knew he didn't have FG kicker on the team and found the best available from a school 99% of the fans had never heard of.
THAT was great coaching. (not taking anything away from Burrow but he was a bit of an unknown).

Pulling a player away from his home to come all the way down to Baton Rouge to play QB at a school known for having a bad offense is nothing to take lightly.

There is a large contingent of our fanbase that will not give O credit for it. I call them the “shite against the wall” contingent, because that’s what they attribute our success to thus far.
The interesting thing is, if we started losing, he would get 100% of the blame. Not Brady, not Aranda, not Burrow or any of the players. It would be 100% on Coach O.

Almost as if he's the HC and is current;y getting the credit for all the stuff he's done right so far. What a crazy idea.

I'd like these guys to breakdown the % of plays that Brady calls in a game. These guys on here act like Steve is scrolling Facebook during the game while Brady runs the offense. The reality is that these guys know absolutely nothing about what's going into running this offense, and who is behind it. I'll admit I don't know. But, E is getting totally disrespected when it is highly likely that he is a very important piece in making this offense tick.

Why is it so hard to give O credit for going and getting Burrow? Sure, nobody knew he was this good. But you damn sure would rather find out with him HERE than at Cincinnati.
Give him credit. It’s okay. It’s not so hard.
