Oh, I don't disagree with that. I haven't done divorces in a long time. The money was always the stickiest part, then visitation - the whole procedural part (how long, when final) was the last concern for most folks who sort of knew that it wasn't a quick process.
I always led off the questioning with, "Is [the other party] a good parent? Do you trust they will do what's right for the children?" They always said yes. I said, "Well, good. Because even though you're paying my fee and I am representing you on the divorce side, I am not interested in refighting all the martial fights and using the children as bargaining chips. They didn't choose this. They're entitled to two parents who at least pretend to cooperate in the shared custody, raising, education and healthcare of these children. No matter which party 'wins' in a divorce, the children always lose so I am always going to advocate for their best interests."
Not a single client ever batted an eye at that point.

shite is sad.... but at the same time I know for a fact plenty officers have been told to look the other way when it came to what she was doing. All I am saying.

If LSU had never won the championship, would Coach and his wife be filing for divorce? Winning the the lottery, national championship, world series, super bowl....things that don't happen on a regular basis, but are the highest most possible accomplishment in your life, changes people.
Would they still be together if LSU had not won the national championship? Just saying.

All of it is kinda sad. Based on what we saw publicly, it is very surprising. With all they went through together with her health and how he always spoke glowingly of her, it just seemed like they were a happy couple.
This is cute and all, but I would direct you to look at the the way coach O totally left her and didn’t really embrace her when going to the middle of the field to shake hands and then celebrate the wins at the end of last years run. She did something to piss him off big time, and he could barely fake it.
I noticed this then, but just thought he was lost in the moment. He was damn near shunning her.

I agree. I've never seen a coaches wife at the end of games try to get attention like she did. She would try to weasel in every chance she could to get on TV. I'm sure that would get on Coach O's nerves.

I mean, after the NC game, she absolutely had to force herself under his arm. The two previous games, the State Troopers were 100% blocking her all the way to midfield.

That bitch got her 15 minutes

Since he filed for divorce, one can assume he believed the woman by his side is no longer the right woman

Unfortunately, success does this to some people. You saw it with Sean Payton

If this is true, her and the police need to get their shite together before she hurts somebody. (Again....if true about the driving impaired. I have no idea if that is factual).

love coach O but cmon, by FAR the most likely scenario if one of them was unfaithful is the he cheated on

I think it's funny that people are pissed at the Advocate about posting this story, yet there is an 8 page thread right now on it and the conversation has devolved into who cheated on who.

La is 180 days separate and apart without kids and 365 with kids. You can file at any time (102 divorce filed before separate and apart time has run and 103 filed after you’ve already been separate and apart)
Ok that makes sense. From personal experience, I remember the 6 months separation but forgot that you can can file right off the bat or wait.

Newspapers were hurting badly prior to CV
It’s not debatable that this publication only published this for profit’s sake.
I mean, c’mon, head coach files for divorce is an Advocate article?
Really?

Instead, the editor approved to put the man's personal life on blast.
That's a lazy newspaper that will be loooong gone in just a few more years.

It’s not exactly something he could hide for very long. I guess you can argue to delay the info as long as possible, but it obviously wasn’t going to stay a secret much longer one way or the other.
