Not sure why O and Pelini want these 220-230 pound safetys but I trust them

Toles was a perfect size at about 205 imo

He specifically listed all the CB's and then mentioned Flott is prepared to play nickel and was high on him. He also mentioned Kary Vincent right after Flott as nickel but could also play multiple positions. Then brought up Todd Harris and glad to have back.

Several of the calls being puzzling at best.

The scheme for the Texas game was ridiculous to watch. Arranda will not make that mistake ever again to purposely not rush the passer in order to contain the QB in the pocket.

Stevens and Harris will probably be the starting safeties.

I wonder what’s up with McKlendon and Kardell. Those were 2 guys that O raved about earlier in the offseason as guys that would be potential starters and he’s been radio silent on them lately.

I don't think this is what you meant to say.

I have watched every game multiple times and just am amazed how poor we were at tackling, especially linebackers. Almost like they were never taught to wrap up the ball carrier. I know that isn't the case but they were a terrible tackling group.

I mean That’s not really a shot at Aranda per say.

You saw how good that defense was once they got their act together.

They had a bad habit of slacking up when we were up big.

And why would we expect anything different? Coach O is one of those guys that sets a high score on a video game in an arcade and signs his initials as "LSU1". He is all about the team and university first and his own glory falling in somewhere behind. This is what makes him a truly great man among very good men.

Our defense wasnt elite last year, but it was good and great when it mattered. Not something he shouldve said

It was elite down the stretch and that’s all that matters. A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson.

I’d take that last 4 game stretch of defensive performance if it meant we gave up that stupid TD against Bama, the yards and points to Texas, and the rushing yards to Ole Miss.

I hope not but I see Thomas as on his way out, if he'd just focus on getting better this year he'd get playing time and would contend to start as just a RS So.... I mean damn, he's just a RS FR who had a very early season ender injury....forgive me but he had ALOT of work to do on his body as he seemed VERY top heavy to me, he also seemed to have a complex because he was ALWAYS trying to humiliate certain guys at camps instead of dominating and being a good sport....that coupled with his recent BS and I want him here but if he leaves, I'd hate it but X Hill is a beast! If KT leaves, he leaves....we will see...but I see immaturity and a bully mentality, and a sense of entitlement....we shall see

And with the commitments from edge rushers, we may actually have too many. Need a couple more O lineman.

Aranda was the most overpaid coordinator in the country last year and it wasn’t close. #1 money for not even Top 25 results. Been consistently downvoted and poor mouthed for this take and now O confirmed it.
