Sorry, didn't mean to come off as a jerk--just happens sometimes. I was just wondering why he mentioned that his friend was a general surgeon. While reading it, I thought he was about to offer Miles some medical advice. And I don't know what he expected Miles to do about playing Bama again. It's not like he was given a choice.

And I have a little problem with the "all class" stuff. When someone is "all class" I don't expect them to lie and say they didn't tell Jefferson to "clock it", treat Lee like he did, telling Erin Andrews on national tv that he didn't run to the wrong sideline when it was plain that he did, and now the classless comments about Gunnar Kiel. Sorry, just calling a spade a spade.

This is silly. Some players grow up following a big league school. Some players want to go to the closest "big league" school to their family. Some players want to go far from home. Some players want to go to strong programs where they will have the time and opportunity to develop (and be surrounded by strong players). Some players want to go to a program with a scheme that fits them the best or highlights their talents to better set them up for a pro career. Some players want to go to a school where there are few superstars (at least at their position) so they may shine and be the "go-to" guy for that school.

Regardless of what the Sabanistas think - the answer to all of those questions cannot be "Bama" - even if it were, it cannot be the answer for more than 25 of them.

How many of the Rivals top 25 players went to Bama? 3. Therefore, 22 of the "good" players chose to go elsewhere (actually 100s did, but at least 22 according to your definition). Florida and Florida State each got 2 players ranked by Rivals as higher than any player Bama signed.

we get it, you don't like him.

he also said had he known this play or that play wouldn't have worked, he probably would have tried a different one. he said he felt someone was going to make a play like they had all year and they would get going. had he known things wouldn't have worke, he would have done something different.

i didn't like the game plan, myself. however, i do understand why he did what he did. he won EVERY game doing what he did. he didn't think or feel anyone could stop what his team does because no one had done it. does it make it better? no. it still hurts.

with that said, if lsu played bama again, they would do things differently. They didn't get the second shot after a loss like bama did. there in lies the real problem.
