It’s the argument to someone saying he “kept the golden era of LSU Football” going. Nah, that 0-5 streak ended it

You have to be wired a certain type of way to come into a thread doing something as simple as celebrating some off the cuff quotes from an all time great at LSU - and shite on him.
It’s fricking weird and there’s no amount of mental gymnastics that you can perform to prove me wrong.
Even if all of your points are valid, it’s just a douchebag thing to do. You initial post in this thread was a shot at Miles over the Vadal Alexander bullshite. You clearly have an agenda
Assholes like you don’t deserve LSU

Nah, you just came into this thread to be a ‘holier than thou’ a-hole
Everyone can see that
Take your L and move on

He derailed it by saying he won over 85% of his games?
Or did you attempt to derail it by shitting on Miles?
Am I in Crazyland right now??

Why are you so mad about Les Miles?
Seriously, name 4 coaches that were better over that time period

I think you just have unrealistic expectations about what an elite football program should look like
Sorry you can’t cope with that. LSU fans should be grateful for the time they had CLM.

You seem miserable bud. He did go 114-34 which is 77% win rate.
You want to count the vadal bs against him? Did you not watch the games? LSU played and won them and now of all time. You wanna say the NCAA is right to ‘vacate’ it all.
Some LSU fans are never satisfied

I definitely agree.
I really meant that it's just unfortunate that the tail spin that happened after the NC really kind of derailed his standing and how he is viewed by the fan base even though he had some really great seasons here in the beginning.
He was THIS close to achieving all-time status. Ultimately, stubbornness is what got him in the end.

One thing that I've also never quite understood is that he totally changed his offensive philosophy after Jarrett Lee's pick-6 season in 2008, but never decided to look in the mirror again after the NC game debacle.
Losing in the championship game would've given me more PTSD as a coach.

It's quirky when you are winning. When you're not winning as much it's odd and weird.

My only point was that even IF he’s right, this just isn’t the thread to try to shite on one of the best coaches we’ve ever had
It was just uncalled for and he seems really bitter about something

Meant to say all around best football team I've ever seen. Not the best each phase of the game, culmination of the 3. Just never seen a team beat the shite out of opponents like that. Even kickoff returns for the other team were ill advised, guys like Jarvis Landry hit sticking guys

This board seems to hate him but he wasn't the bumbling idiot the board thinks he is. His accomplishments here speak for itself. He also did something most on here not recognize in that he helped market LSU. You can say what you want about him but his personality was extremely likable and he had one of the strongest national presences of any NCAA coach while here. It's not a coincidence he recruited extremely well and LSU had high TV ratings under him.

this is false.
post 1-9-2012 was NOT awesome by any means. neither was 2008 or 2009 if you really want to get technical about it
