I’m not trying to make it difficult. I was trying to understand your point. This to me is a prime example of everything wrong with “social media/message board culture. Trying to make everyone not 100% in agreement with you an “enemy” or opponent. It makes it easy to then belittle and dismiss them which is why we always end up thinking everything is zero sum.

it's fricking ridiculous considering they lost by THIRTY POINTS. There were more problems than just the defensive line,

Ok that makes sense and I agree but this is also an example of what I mean by getting too hung up on the margin in that 1 game. They scored 37 and had 465 yds of Off. That’s bad and I would say being thin on the DL is a major factor there. We only scored 7, obviously that had nothing to do with our DL.

was last season a success?

It started very badly but got better. For a HC in his first year I would grade it a B-. It started out as a F, not just with the Troy st and Miss St games but just how badly and disorganized the team (especially on offense) looked in general, and improved to a grade of B+, then the bowl game happened dropping it to a B-. When you add it all together the season grades out as a C-.
But I put more weight on how the season went towards the end than to how it went at the beginning, so am raising the overall grade to a B. Certainly not the A+ season we were all hoping for. I don't think Herman or Fisher or Fleck or Fedora would have gotton us an A+ season either but who knows.

ut I've yet to hear you discuss any of the chinks in O's armor after wins, though I'm sure going forward you'll put up this front to maintain appearances.

I don't think O has had any controversial wins yet. Do you?

had we beaten Troy or ND possibly, we'd have something to talk about. I might need to re-watch the Syracuse tape though.

Yea, I mean it was a 7 or 10 pt game at halftime, and I assume most LSU fans, like myself, thought a comeback was soon to mount. They just pushed our shite in & not having DL to rotate was definitely a factor in how the game got away.

17-16 vs a trash Florida team and winning on a missed Extra Point?

That feels like the kind of game Les would here about for the best of his career.

eh, that's always a tough road game for a young team like we had. McElwan was 13-1 at home in his career going into that game.

i dont think you understand this exercise. You need to tell me the kinks you saw in O's coaching based on things that happened in this game.

It’s hard to find chinks in the armor when there is enormous gaps in it. It’s very hard to judge what O actually does on gamedays.

We had major issues against on offense MSU, in execution and motivation. And O either didn’t or couldn’t fix either of those problems.

There was almost no improvement in the offense from the week before. We scored 10 points vs a much worse defense.

What you’re saying is equal to saying “I don’t think I’ll win the lottery, therefore I don’t want to win the lottery.”

No...what I meant was....there's a small part of you and others that doesn't want to see O here indefinitely. If he wins 10 games, he could be here for a few more years or longer. That's the part you don't want to stomach. It's futile to deny this because you've made it clear that O is an incompetent boob.

I'm not sure WTF you're talking about with your lottery analogy. Only you understand that.

After all this time and the many posts that have explained it to you, you still don't get man.

I hope O wins a buttload of games and coaches here 25 years.

10 wins this year would start that off pretty nicely.

We play that Auburn game 9 more times and we probably lose 8 of them. I suppose that one was another masterpiece of his though right?

If Miles coached that game you'd say how lucky he got, without a doubt.

But I put more weight on how the season went towards the end

The season started 3-2 and ended 3-2 with our worse recruiting ranking in maybe twenty years. It also ended with us firing our OC costing us a million. That firing put us behind getting our offense ready because we had to start all over again.

Did our two loses at the end not include a SBC loss? Yes. Did the QB who transferred in maybe help the recruiting misses? Yes.

B.

I cant buy into that. C is the best I can give. And if the last staff was still here, you wouldn't be giving it a B. I cant give any year that includes a beat down to Mississippi State, a SBC team loss, and a bowl loss a B.

You had. O problems with our team again lookin like shite vs a shitty team? hat’s cool. If you see no problem with a 1 point win over Florida the week after losing to Troy you do you.

I personally think it’s an issue we looked like shite the first 6 games of last year but hey you can’t have chunks in your armor if you’re not wearing any.

Right, just completely ignore the OPI call that took a TD off the board for LSU 3 minutes into the game.

Everyone else is.

Y’all should really go back and rewatch that game and just look at how deflated LSUs entire sideline was once that TD call was reversed.

Since Lester won’t answer maybe you will Willie

He can’t eleven answer very basic direct questions

You already answered the question
“was last season a success?”

I’m curious, what would you need to see happen for this season to be a success? a certain number of wins? a certain number of points per game scored? a certain number of points per game allowed? a certain number of yards gained by the offense?

O clearly outcoached them in the 2nd half, there is no debate to that. Prob his biggest win to date as a coach

Did he?

Please tell me what changed he made in the second half that you liked.
