He took a job that he never wanted and he did a remarkable job.

Great Tiger and Ambassador for our school, he deserves our respect.

I think we could have done way worse than E these last couple of years. I'll always appreciate what he was able to do here.

I have a lot of admiration for E. He is a great Tiger, I just don’t want him calling the plays. The fact that Ed O didn’t trust him to call 100% of the plays after Brady speaks volumes.

100% agree.

If Coach O wants to keep him as TE's coach or passing game Coordinator, or QB's coach, I'm good with it.

If Coach E wants to drop down on be on the shadow staff as an analyst, I'm good with that too.

If Coach E just wants to be a consultant to the HC, I am good with that too.... and if Coach E wants to check out and go fishing.... I'm ok with that.

He's a great Tiger. Much respect and admiration for him for how he's hung in there and been such a great contributor to the football program that I love the most.

great Tiger, sure.

Great coach? No.

Don’t let your respect for the man blind you to what we saw on the field over his 3 years as OC.

Was this ever confirmed to be that case?

Seems like that could've been a way to help develop Brady into our future OC as well as given him some involvement in the offense and once it was clear how well E and Brady meshed, they just kept doing it.

Was 2018 especially bad on third downs and red zone?

The best 3 year's worth of passing attacks that LSU has ever had?

2018 was meh, and E had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, CEH, and more.

2019 was spectacular, because of Brady.

This year we had some stats, but miserable 3rd down conversions and red zone problems. Clearly no5 good because Linehan got fired and E’s being reassigned.

And, if you’re being honest, you’d acknowledge that LSU threw the ball far more in recent years than prior years, so of course we’re going to have better passing stats, just because we threw it far more.
