re: "Co-Offensive Coordinator" scenario
They had given up one sack all year at this point in time? GD that’s some good shite.

But depending on the egos involved and expectations/boundaries being set up front, very well could be a recipe for disaster.

Disaster is getting shut out by Bama. Would be worth the risk if this is the only way O would make a change.

Ensminger should not even be in staffât this point. TEs regressed to almost non existent under his coaching and the offense has been mediocre to bad under him with his scheme and plays.

I appreciate his time at LSU but like Les, it’s time for him to go if LSU wants to improve.

If drastic changes aren't made, this could easily become a sequel of the Miles-Cameron narrative.

That was the root cause to him and Canada fighting. Canada was not afraid to say, "uh no, that's stupid" There were other issues, but that was the start.

the same Canada that had like 6 jobs in 6 years ..?
yes that shows his ability to get along

Canada's in the past. O f'ed up with a bad hire. And then again with Ensminger. He can avoid the trifecta with Briles.

Could happen
Briles' salary at Houston: 650k

Media swirls are saying Jerry Sullivan might retire after this year and Tommie Robinson might try for an NFL job. Have no idea what Mickey Joseph does anymore. He supposed to be in charge of recruiting NOLA, but he hasn't done well, so he could be replaced.

If you really want to keep SE:
Co - Offensive coordinator/TE Coach- SE (With little input on play calling)
Co - Offensive coordinator/WR Coach- KB (Replace Sullivan)
Replace Tommie Robinson
Sean Salisbury - QB Coach

If by some miracle this scenario were to actually unfold, I want Kendal being both OC and QB coach.

Since 2015, at all three of his stints at Baylor, FA, and UH, he's been dual OC/QB coach. The guy is skilled at developing QBs. Let him work his magic.

When they announced the Sullivan PGC hiring, his role was initially supposed to involve working with outside receivers, while Mickey Joseph works with inside/slot receivers.

What they're both doing now, who the hell knows?

re: "Co-Offensive Coordinator" scenario
There was no way to know that Canada would be a failure here. He was a totally different type of play caller the year before at Pitt. It's not about failing or succeeding and if people think you know what you doing.

You can think you know exactly what you're doing and still fail on a hire. Look at what Oklahoma did, fired guys in the middle of the season. Obviously he doesn't know what he's doing either? It all about them fitting the program and as long as you get that person here, who cares what people think.

Plus in spite of so called failing, Orgeron is still winning SEC games at a very good clip. Second best in the SEC behind only Nick Saban the last 2 years. That's a pretty good number to point to if people question your ability or know how in running a big time program.

It's either working or it's not. It's not working so it time to move on. I would also argue that the S&C program needs new blood as well. After the Arkansas game it's very obvious to me that Steve either doesn't have the ability or he doesn't have the drive to be what LSU needs. We need someone who can no only call plays but can recruit QBs, develop them and help to recruit offensive players to his scheme. Some of those first down and 3rd down calls were horrendous. There is zero creativity on offense. When defense's bring everyone up, you need to have a quick strike passing game to counter it and back them off.

Our screens plays are so obvious that they're recognized and blown up immediately. With the big WRs we have there should be at least 10 plays a game where we get them the ball on the perimeter with some blocking to break one or two for TDs. The FB we have and the bigger possession WRs we have can take those plays for 8 yards every time. Jefferson was schooling those DBs and he went away from it. I understand that LSU needs to run the football but not at the expense of the entire offense and end result.

The way in which we controlled the LOS, this game should have been 42-10 at a minimum. Who ever we bring in here needs to be excellent recruiter, QB teacher/developer, an aggressive play caller and needs to be efficient in the RZ TD scoring. He needs to bring a toughness to the offense as well.

Orgeron needs to pick his game up with having young guys motivated in the offseason, making sure guys aren't making emotional in game mistakes and get on his players when they don't perform as a championship level team should. I don't see Clemson or Bama doing some of the things LSU does during games. Why is that? Because those coaches don't freakn allow it.
