No he wouldn’t have. He couldn’t get past Alabama, how would he beat Bama, Ohio State, Georgia, etc all in a row.
Hell, Miles couldn’t beat Ole Miss and Arky consistently towards the end.

2007 was the only true contender year for miles that he could have won the playoff. 2006 he got beat by Florida and auburn and probably wouldn’t beat them in a rematch.
He lost 21-0 to bama. Only way he could ever win a championship is backing his way into the BCS with luck and playing an inferior opponent.

2016 could have been a playoff team with a decent offensive game plan against Bama but decided to run right up the gut every play.

I think the opposite. 2007 defense was pretty flimsy later in the year and I don’t think we beat OK, UGA, or USC in a playoff. Spread teams killed us so even Missouri would’ve been tough. Remember, Missouri easily whipped that Arkansas team that we couldn’t stop.
2006 actually might’ve won a playoff. The That Florida loss was flukey. A phantom holding penalty negated a TD and lsu turned the ball over like five times, and at least some of those were unforced.
2011 of course loses in the playoff.
So no, at best Miles still has one NC.
