We play in the toughest division of the best conference in football. Clemson does not.

Clemson beat Alabama 35-31 on Monday night in a game for the ages, and it was Watson's 420 passing yards, 43 rushing yards and four total touchdowns (three passing) that ensured the Tigers won the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship.

Eric Reed was a big factor in that loss too.

Well, I had seen Clemson play on TV twice and could definitely see "the toughness and speed". They had a point to prove and they proved it.

More importantly though, we are the original death valley as stated back in my thread at that time by J Ferguson and W. Hill back in '59 or '60. So until Clemson can beat that date, we are the original death valley.

Today on Hangin With Hester. Now our players mainly come here to be in the pros. They aren't hungry to win! A national championship is not a priority anymore. We shall see if Orgeron can change this attitude. Not gonna judge that til some point in next years season.

.....................and in the end, all this panic on our board is really about nothing. It's still one loss...........................albeit a disheartening one. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out. This game COULD end up being a rallying point for this team. Contrary to what's been said by much of the fanbase on this board, this is still a very talented, young, team. Our recruiting has been top ten for at least five years going. I'll start getting more worried once we can no longer bring in the recruits. Even if Orgeron is not able to get us back to the top of the mountain, he more than likely won't leave the cupboard bare for the next guy. I don't see us returning to the days of the late 1980s and early 1990s..................

It's not 2011 anymore, brah. SEC hasn't been worth a shite outside of Alabama for years.

Don't know if I'd necessarily agree. But there's no doubt that the Big 10 AND the ACC have improved vastly.

how in the world have the two programs, from the time of LSU losing that bowl game to now, basically switched positions? At that time we were a PERENNIAL top 5 prorgram and Clemson was just an up and comer,
We haven't switched places because that would mean we would be an 'up and comer'. Lol! that's not true! Instead of an 'up and comer' we are more like a 'down and goer'. We may be going in many directions but "UP" is not one of them.
